Does anyone know how can I use the option of "Goods to Follow" for the items I want to get to Canada but are over and above my baggage quota now. As must have happened with many, we are finding out that if we pack out stuff, it will be like 10 bags now and we can carry only 6. One option is to pay for extra baggage to airlines and carry those additional bags with us. But that will be so costly (airline is charging USD 200 per extra bag of 23 kgs).

So, the question I am trying to ask is: Do anyone know of any other cargo kind of option to send our bags at cheaper rates, which may follow us later after landing? I saw messages earlier on some forums here where people go and pick up such bags from the airport in Canada after 2/3 days of landing. Is that a cheaper option to send your extra items?

Please confirm if anyone knows about this, thanks.

Hi People

So happy to hear the news about new FSW which includes my occupation this time
I need some information quickly:
1) Which is the best agency for ECA among the three in terms of least time taken and most efficient. From my reading it seems like WES is a bit better because it does not need transcripts directly to be sent by the University which could be a pain here in India. Any inputs on this points guys?
2) I have the reference letters from my employers which I obtained in June last year, can I use the same letters or should I get new ones issued?
3) Do we need to provide proof for funds with the application or we could just mention the sources only.
4) What timelines for visa issue are we looking at with this year's program.

Guys based on your experience with the program last year can you please provide some inputs.

(1.) yes wes is better thn the othr two for equalncy and thy also takes less time,read carefully for india if u r using transcriots thn It has to be sent by the university,marksheets attestd from controller of examination pr registrar can be send by the applicant directly
(2) u ought to have new refrnc letters from your employer mentioning ur wrking hours, salary,designaton and most imp job duties
(3) you have to give proof of funds with the applictn it is neccsary without proof of funds ur applictn wuld b incomplt
(4)timelines only local visa office cn tell thy said lst year also tht 2013applicts will b processd under one year bt thy didn't

This is very true, surprisingly CIC launched FSW program with added occupations & increased cap limit. Congratulations guys, who were failed in fsw 13-14 can prepare for this cap.

BY the way, yesterday I got call from NDVO, they have misplaced my rprf DD & asked me to pay online. They took 2 months to inform me. Hope they will act fast now..

does it affect speed of FSW13? will they put these file aside and start working on new files? or they clear these file very fast to work on FSW14?

Whats your opinion?

Hi Guys, My brother 2010 LVO applicant finally got email today to send pp copy and later will be stamped in Abu Dhabi when they ask him.

He did the medical approximately 9 months ago and since his wife was pregnant they had to complete the medical for his wife and baby before 2 and half months.

They told him his visa will be valid one year from the date of the medical, so which date will be considered the earlier or the one before months and half???


The other thing, if he got the visa on his current passport and then renew his passport before going to canada . Will that be an issue??

Thank you so much guys for responding. I just have another query. I am only 5 weeks right now. What if I go to vancouver in May - stay there for 3-4 months till the time I get my PR Card and then come back to india for delivery??? Can I do that?? Medically the doctor said I can travel to and fro. If I do that then will I be able to add my child later as a dependent?? Note my passport stamp expiry and my due date of delivery is the same- 21 dec!!! But the difference is I will have my proper PR Card before delivery. The reason I want to deliver in India is because this is my first pregnancy and its just easier if i am with my family here. Looking forward for all your advice

If your application reaches CIC before 30 june 2014 then it is ok, no need to take new IELTS.

I think it will not affect
as from 1st may the process will start and say PER to eligible applicants will be start @ 15days(min) than and than application reach to local VO will take another time so What I feel is applicaitons of FSW2014 will start to reach local VO by june mid or end. and till than most of applications at local vo of fsw2013 should be clear
