You will have to raise a CSE to VO and request for address change. It will be in your AOR email from NDVO. Else you may visit CIC website for change of address (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/change-address.asp).

If I recollect correctly, in your case you may not have to change the address after all, if delivery of passport to you brother in law is concerned and you can opt for VFS service in his city. Please refer to my earlier post to you, if that is the case.

Hello Devkis..Thanks for reply. Address change for New delhi visa office is througgh Case specific enquiry and i have to attached sign letter with new address. I will do that.. do you have any idea how long it takes to update address through CSE?

The reason i want to chnage address is - on my Current address, tenant is staying as i am out of india, i gave my house on rent. The address i am planning to chnage it my Brother in law, so that on our behalf he can collect PP. There is no VFS in his city.

Breaking News: Re-Opening of Federal Skilled Worker Program

On Wednesday, April 23, 2014, the Government of Canada announced new occupations and caps for the popular Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) program. Additional important information has been announced for the Federal Skilled Trades (FST) and Canadian Experience Class (CEC) programs.
The new changes go into effect for all three programs on May 1, 2014.
“This is a long-awaited and exciting announcement for applicants all over the world,” said Attorney David Cohen. “I am certain that in the coming days we will see an incredible amount of excitement generated for the FSW program in particular, which has historically been the most popular path to Canadian Permanent Residency.”
Federal Skilled Worker Announcements
Effective May 1, 2014, the FSW will be accepting an overall total of 25,000 new applications. Applicants must have at least one year of work experience in one of 50 eligible occupations. A maximum of 1,000 applications will be accepted per eligible occupation.
The eligible occupations include many widely practiced professions. They are as follows:
Senior managers – financial, communications and other business services (NOC 0013)
Senior managers – trade, broadcasting and other services, n.e.c. (0015)
Financial managers (0111)
Human resources managers (0112)
Purchasing managers (0113)
Insurance, real estate and financial brokerage managers (0121)
Managers in health care (0311)
Construction managers (0711)
Home building and renovation managers (0712)
Managers in natural resources production and fishing (0811)

Applicants under the FSW program will be assessed according to the same criteria as 2013. Applicants are assessed on a points grid that takes into account important factors such as education, language skills, work experience, age, and adaptability to Canada. All applicants must meet minimum language requirements in either English or French.
In addition to skilled workers, the FSW program includes streams for PhD holders and individuals who have received eligible job offers from Canadian employers. A maximum of 500 PhD applicants will be accepted under the upcoming program. Applicants who hold valid job offers are not subject to any intake caps.
“While it is exciting to see so many occupations on this list, the most popular are likely to fill very quickly,” said Attorney David Cohen. “I strongly encourage anybody interested in this program to seize the moment and prepare to submit their application much sooner rather than later.”
Federal Skilled Trades Announcements
The FST program is for applicants with experience in a skilled trade. As of May 1, the FST program will be accepting a maximum of 5,000 applications for review. All NOC B level trades will be eligible for this program. This amounts to a total of 90 different occupations.
A maximum of 100 applications will be accepted under any single occupation. The 90 eligible occupations fall into the following general categories:
Major Group 72: Industrial, electrical and construction trades;
Major Group 73: Maintenance and equipment operation trades;
Major Group 82: Supervisors and technical occupations in national resources, agriculture and related production;
Major Group 92: Processing, manufacturing and utilities supervisors and central control operators;
Minor Group 632: chefs and cooks;
Minor Group 633: butchers and bakers
Canadian Experience Class Announcements
The CEC program was created for individuals who have already gained skilled work experience in Canada. As of May 1, the program will accept a maximum of 8,000 new applications. Any skilled occupation is eligible*, however for NOC B level occupations a maximum of 100 applications will be accepted per occupation.
*The following six occupations are not eligible to apply under the CEC:
Administrative officers (NOC 1221)
Administrative assistants (1241)
Accounting technicians/bookkeepers (1311)
Cooks (6322)
Food service supervisors (6311)
Retail sales supervisors (6211)
What This Means for Applicants
Many prospective immigrants have been eagerly waiting for these changes to be announced. This new information confirms that all three programs are open for business once again.
The FSW program is more open to applicants than it has been in the past few years. The cap has increased more than five times over, from just 5,000 last year to 25,000 this year. In addition, the number of eligible occupations has more than doubled, from just 24 last year to 50 as of May 1. This means that skilled workers who were not eligible for the program in previous years because of their professional experience may now be eligible to apply.
“I am excited to hear that Canada is opening up its doors to so many talented professionals,” said Attorney David Cohen. “This is the last time applicants can apply under the FSW program in its current format. Starting in 2015, the Government of Canada has announced that it will be transitioning to a new immigration selection system known as ‘Express Entry’. This is just one more reason for interested applicants to act now, and take steps toward achieving their immigration goals.”

This query is for all our star members, I have submitted my Passports and paid my RPRF fee on the 14th of April, 2014 (confirmed by NDVO), my Meds are done and show as received on the ecas site. I am in an extremely demanding international travel oriented job profile and have hence sent an urgency letter through my company to the NDVO, requesting them to expedite the processing so as I may receive my passports before 25th April, 2014. What are my chances and how much pestering will be required to get my passport back quickly........ I have sent them an email marked "Urgent" on the 21st of April, 2014 but they have not yet responded.

I am a FSW 2013 applicant, AOR received 21st September, 2013 file transfer to NDVO, 29th October, 2013, Meds, PP and RPRF request 24th February, 2014, Meds done and received on 27th Feb, 2014. PP's and RPRF DD sent on 11th April, 2014, recvd at NDVO on 14th April, 2014.

Hello Doc:
I recommend that you go to the CHC personally and they will give you your passport back. One of the members got it stamped on the same day, as a decision was already made for his case. In my case, I got my passport for international travel, but without stamping. They've asked me to return it after the international travel. Hope this helps.

So happy to hear the news about new FSW which includes my occupation this time
I need some information quickly:
1) Which is the best agency for ECA among the three in terms of least time taken and most efficient. From my reading it seems like WES is a bit better because it does not need transcripts directly to be sent by the University which could be a pain here in India. Any inputs on this points guys?
2) I have the reference letters from my employers which I obtained in June last year, can I use the same letters or should I get new ones issued?
3) Do we need to provide proof for funds with the application or we could just mention the sources only.
4) What timelines for visa issue are we looking at with this year's program.

Guys based on your experience with the program last year can you please provide some inputs.

Dear Friends,

Does anyone know how can I use the option of "Goods to Follow" for the items I want to get to Canada but are over and above my baggage quota now. As must have happened with many, we are finding out that if we pack out stuff, it will be like 10 bags now and we can carry only 6. One option is to pay for extra baggage to airlines and carry those additional bags with us. But that will be so costly (airline is charging USD 200 per extra bag of 23 kgs).

So, the question I am trying to ask is: Do anyone know of any other cargo kind of option to send our bags at cheaper rates, which may follow us later after landing? I saw messages earlier on some forums here where people go and pick up such bags from the airport in Canada after 2/3 days of landing. Is that a cheaper option to send your extra items?

Please confirm if anyone knows about this, thanks.

I can tell you about WES only I had a good experience with them , although they asked for the transcripts sent directly from the institution, I am not from India maybe for you is different.

About the other query I think you should ask for recent letter and have a proof of funds not only the sources.
