Hello Everyone,

I just acme across this forum and glad I did. I applied for the FSW programme. My application was received by the CIC office in Sydney, Nova Scotia on 5th Feb, 2014 as shown by the Fedex tracking email. But uptill today 20th April, 2014 I have not heard anything from CIC on the status of my application. No email or communication of any sort and I have no way of knowing the status. Is there any one here who can help me with suggestions on what to do pls? Does it take this long before CIC sends u an email confirming receipt.? I was hoping to have gotten like an application number or something but so far nothing.

How about is your total score in yourself assessment? Recently, the application was treated fast in monthly or biweekly!

Did you pay with card (credit/debit) or demand draft?

If you used card and your card has been charged, at least that could give you an indication that you are in the queue for review at CIO. If you used a DD, can you check with your bank to confirm if the DD has been cleared.

Either of the above could give you reasons to have high hope that all will be well.

Its been 34 days since I have submitted my passport and 25 days since RPRF got encashed.
No updates on DM

Anyone else with similar timelines (NDVO)

Congrats on landing in Canada . Quick question , from which bank you made the DD , as you don't have any account opened at specific bank before coming to Canada , was it OK for the bank to made a DD on your name. What bank and branch info you provided to enchased the DD ??

Did you take cash along with you also ?

Landing Experience- Calgary- Very important information.

POF - While showing POF to the CBSA official, they checked my DD, they asked me whether my DD is signed at the backside or not .... it was not.. The lady officer told that if it would have signed at the backside, then it is not acceptable...

So please check that ur DD should not be signed at the backside when u come to Canada.


At Immigration office , it took around 30 mins in queue and 15 minutes for processing of the PR card.

Hi! Please, update my app status: We started processing your application on 11 April 2014

One interesting note: my docs were received by Canadian office on the 17th of May 2013 and transfered to Warsaw in July. After a very-very long waiting period I decided to request my app status from the office (GCMS file). My request was received on the 27th of February and I got the GCMS file in 45 days (standard time). It was written there that by that date my documents haven't been processed at all (needless to say how disappointed I was). But... today I checked my app status and saw that the processing had been started. I don't say that it was my GCMS request which made them take my docs and finally start processing, but still...

Good luck to everyone (and me as well ). Hope to get the mediacl request soon.

Interesting point. My instinct also points towards the same thing.

It has been almost three months my processing has started but there has been no response MR etc until now.

Getting worried.

Question: How to get the GCMS notes ? or is there any other way to find out what is going on? I have already sent my case specific enquiry email but the response was standard - > we are working on the file.

Questions for the people who got their Passport back from NDVO :-

I looked at the spreadsheet but couldn't find the approx time NDVO takes to send the passports once the DM status is updated ??

I used VFS for sending my passports .

Any response will be helpful.

Still NO MR, PPR :-[
Applicants here with same scenario haven't received any BCG checks at their work places as well.
What are NDVO guys upto. What are they doing with our files... :-\

My CO has asked me this item: "Personal History and Address History details from May 2013 to present". What does he mean by "Personal History". Is there any particular form or format for this? And if not, what kind of information I am required to send?

So, just to let you know guys, I have entered the "Waiting for DM" club today. 8)

My ECAS shows - Medicals have been received. Will call the bank on Monday to check if the RPRF has gotten encashed yet.

Hi Everyone,

In the end Warsaw office woke up and sent MR docs, both for me and my wife, to my represemtative on April 16th. ;D Admins please update my info in the SS. MR request came appx 6 months after PER and 10 months after my application filed in Sydney office. ECAS updated on April 19th. Feeling relief. At least we now know our file has not been put aside and sits in dust.

Couldn't give update earlier sorry about that. I had a baby boy 12 days ago. I was taking care of him and his documents to send to Warsaw. But Warsaw reacted faster then us. I am now trying to complete a package which includes updated forms ( Generic app form, additional family information) due to my son's birth and his documents (such as birth certificate, passport, photos and CAD 150). I will also send police clearance docs not to make multiple deliveries.
