Hey Guys,

Congrats Ahab1974, Zeetheboss, jaydip, Dan84, sbo, kumar2263, TenderMay, adonai36.....

I have one question, if any would can explain this.
When I receive my PER through a letter, it was mentioned that one should contact VO directly if they did not receive any update from us within 6 months from the date of application received.

So from what date we should count, PER date, AOR, file received at VO or process starting date?

Many thanks in advance.

From the PER date.

Can anyone advise we are planning to travel to canada from india with britishairways

Do we need transit visa at the heathrow airport

That means I have to wait long for medicals. :-\

My VO is New Delhi.
In The letter I received, they said I should get some response within 6 months from the date they received full application.
According to this it should be date of file received. Don't know confused.
Actually they don't follow same pattern or timeline. depends upon case to case or on their mood.

One of my Friend received PER in oct13 but still no update.

You don't need any transit visa, until unless you want to go out of airport.
If you stay inside, just to change the plan, no need of that.

You'll need a visa to pass through the UK in transit (unless you're exempt)
You should apply for a Direct Airside Transit visa if you arrive in the UK on a flight and leave again without passing through immigration control.

Exemptions
You won't need a visa if you:

are travelling to Australia, Canada, New Zealand or the USA and have a valid visa for that country
are travelling from Australia, Canada, New Zealand or the USA and it's less than 6 months since you last entered that country with a valid entry visa
have a valid US permanent residence card issued on or after 21 April 1998 (or an I-797 extension letter issued by the Bureau of Citizenship if it's expired)
have a valid Canadian permanent resident card issued on or after 28 June 2002
have a valid uniform format category D visa for entry to a state in the European Economic Area (EEA)
have a valid uniform format residence permit issued by an EEA state
