Friends, have a question. I got PER on 3rd march 2014 and another email from Delhi Immigration on 23rd March 2014 which has a pdf attachment that mentions that application processing has started.

1. Is this what we refer to as AOR?
2. My second line in ECAS has still not been updated. Any idea how long after the email it gets updated?

Dear Laksmisesh,
At first Congrats. If you have sent it thro VFS, no need to worry. You will be intimated by VFS both by SMS and on their tracking site. If you have used Govt. Post / Courier, I think that it depends on the date your passports were sent out for despatch. So please let us know which mode you used & then based on the forum members experience, you may judge your approximate date of receiving.

Best Regards,

Hello mate, whats your take on my application?. Processing started 21st jan... No news ever since... Do you think i have a genuine case to approach NDVO and seek some clarity on my application?

Sorry friend.. the kind of interaction I had with them they will reply to you that they are processing your file and no further action required at this point.. There is absolutely no urgent request from you along with documented evidence to process fast, neither they will be excited to process your application fast without job offers or urgent immigration to Canada on grounds like (Relative health problem in Canada, any valid reason to travel to Canada urgently etc. etc.).. If you can arrange something then visit the visa office and you will sail thru.. Otherwise you have to wait...

Try searching for job.. if you get one than use that to your advantage to process fast.. VO will guide you if they require further letters or something... If you are able to secure a offer letter (even if that is subject to clearing your immigration first) VO will try their best to clear your case fast... After all, as told by the VO to me, it is a win win situation for all the employer, visa officer and you..

Well there is urgency since I am rebuilding my house... I had planned the demolition from may 1 , thinking i would be in canada then, considering processing started on 21st jan... cant go back on the demolition so have to move to a rented place... all because i was chosen by the "fairy" for extraordinary delay!! >:( >:( so lets say i sign the rent agreement (minimum 1 year) and i get MR the next day i lose 3 months rent paid as deposit for absolutely no reason... now depending on how you look at it... it is a valid reason for them to atleast tell me how long the wait is....

If that is the case than surely visit NDVO... There are two things here.. firstly you would be in great deal of trouble financially/emotionally and second you have definite plan to enter Canada.. Both should work in your favour.. and I would suggest a personal visit to NDVO... Now you can actually decide that you just want to know when you will be issued visa or you can go one step ahead and try to push them to process fast.. First guy at the window will not be much trouble (because he does not take calls) and he will just forward your request to your case visa officer inside but when the visa officer greets you then you have to really negotiate.. This is their strategy to eliminate fake requests from the genuine ones (I was told that they can cancel my application and give my passport today.. from there I took them to ask me to come in the evening and hand over visa issued passports)..

Its will not be that easy my friend.. I pray for you buddy.. carry as many docs as possible.. All the best...

First complete the spreadsheet so readers can know more about your case.

NOC, Visa Office, etc.
