Dear Friends,

I have filed my application under category 2132 Mechanical engineers on 28-Oct-2013 through an agent. I understand from this thread that the Cap under 2132 category has filled by first week of August and there are no more applications accepted after the cap got filled.
My worry is that i have still not received my application back. My agent tells me that my application is still not received from the immigration department.
Can anyone please let me know if it takes so many days for the immigration department to send the application back?
Also is there any particular email or contact information available through which i can check my application status and see if my application is sent back or not.
Please advice.

Hi Guys,

I have received my package back yesterday. I made a blunder and appeared for IELTS Academic test and not for IELTS general test.
Now I am in a trouble, no dates available for IELTS in April anywhere in India. Is there any solution for my case. I have following specific queries:
1) If I send my app back with updated IELTS test results (which is possible in May), will my application be rejected as April deadline will be over by month end. Is there any chance that my previous application date 2nd Jan be considered with the updated documents (IELTS).... Mine is NOC 2146, so no issues of the 300 cap.
2) Is there any other alternative to the IELTS. Can I send my package with =out test score and request them to wait for the official IELTS test scores?

Please advice.

check out www.ielts.org they are giving dates for april thru IDP and BC...All d best

I think they will extend the time period for fsw2013: The official line is "The cap year began on May 4, 2013, and will end on April 30, 2014, unless otherwise stated by the Minister." The line "unless otherwise stated by the Minister" gives some hope for applicants whose applications are delayed by factors which are out of their control.
It is a tough gamble.. try your best..

Hi again everybody,

I wanted to know if anyone had experience of paying the RPRF by credit card? And what was the exact amount, in INR, that was paid (isn't it $490 per applicant?)? Is there any advantage/disadvantage of using DD method as against the credit card method, and also the details required for making the payment through credit card, if its feasible and recommended..

Thanks again and have a good day!

Hi,
I have received a call for medicals on 11th feb 2014. And my ECAS has been updated with the line " Medical results have been received."

However, it has been a month now....I have not yet received any call for my passport and RRPF ( I can find that most of the applicants have got calls for MR and passport within 48 hrs).

Can anyone throw some light on this? Should I raise a CSE with NDVO? How long does NDVO take to respond to the CSE raised?
Appreciate, if anyone could throw some light on this.

Thanks

sent u a pm check it

Hi

Please check below:

"Fees are payable in Canadian dollars or Indian Rupees. Only bank drafts (demand drafts) or certified cheques are accepted; cash is not accepted for fee payment. The bank draft should be made for the exact amount and in favour of "Canadian High Commission" or "Receiver General for Canada" payable at New Delhi."

Looking at the above, CC is not an option atleast for NDVO.

You are correct fee is "Right of Permanent Resident Fee (Principal Applicant, Spouse/ Partner) $490 OR 28,900". It's good to pay in INR becuase you will save on the conversion rates.

Hi,

I also tried the CC option, but got a reply from NDVO that CC isn't an option for this region. You can only pay either thru DD or certified cheques.

All the Best!

rightly said.. cc is not a option for us..go for dd in inr.

It does not say anywhere that CC is not accepted. You can pay it online and print the receipt out. When you use your cc its goes to Receiver General of Canada. I dont know why people are saying its not accepted. It is and i have done it . You can print the receipt or can be emailed to your email. It will show Approved when it goes through.

Thanks

Yes, we can use CC but it is advisable to use DD. :)

Thank you that is a better answer. It says only CASH is not accepted. Since the credit cards issued in our part of the world might not work its probably a precaution. My credit card is with a bank in USA. FYI
