I have received my package back yesterday. I made a blunder and appeared for IELTS Academic test and not for IELTS general test.

Please advice.

Dear Friend, Go to the center explain you critical situation hope you can get the slot. please check when you will get your result (generally after 2 weeks of test date you will get the result).

Calculate test date> result date > courier lead time > the date it shall reaches CIC (should be before April 30 2014).

Hi Guys,

I have received my package back yesterday. I made a blunder and appeared for IELTS Academic test and not for IELTS general test.
Now I am in a trouble, no dates available for IELTS in April anywhere in India. Is there any solution for my case. I have following specific queries:
1) If I send my app back with updated IELTS test results (which is possible in May), will my application be rejected as April deadline will be over by month end. Is there any chance that my previous application date 2nd Jan be considered with the updated documents (IELTS).... Mine is NOC 2146, so no issues of the 300 cap.
2) Is there any other alternative to the IELTS. Can I send my package with =out test score and request them to wait for the official IELTS test scores?

Please advice.

Probable Solution:
Are you from India? If yes, then there is a feeble chance. British Council has IELTS GENERAL TEST on 5 April 2014.
The online registration for this session is closed. However, you might get in through manual registration if you contact British Council Calicut. I know this from experience. Manual registration is possible after online is closed.

I have received a call for medicals on 11th feb 2014. And my ECAS has been updated with the line " Medical results have been received."

However, it has been a month now....I have not yet received any call for my passport and RRPF ( I can find that most of the applicants have got calls for MR and passport within 48 hrs).

Can anyone throw some light on this? Should I raise a CSE with NDVO? How long does NDVO take to respond to the CSE raised?
Appreciate, if anyone could throw some light on this.

I would suggest you speak to all centres until you get one which has an opening....tier II cities would be more likely to have an opening..All the best.

Correct me if I am wrong..but the application fees that we paid along with the application was via DD in CAD. So now why are they saying no????

I had got it done from ICICI and there was no problem. Open an account with RBS, they have special provision for people immigrating to Canada. Else you can make the DD in your name exactly as it is on your passport and then deposit when you land there.

Proof of Landing funds..

Can we use Demand Draft in Indian currency as proof of landing fund or is it necessary to make the DD in CADs ??

As I called my bank for Demand Draft in CAD, they refused to make it in foreign currency. Please suggest if anybody has made demand draft in CADs.

Yes you can raise it. But in my case I never received reply nor any decision.
