Dear LakshmiSesh,
I do not see any reason for your reluctance to send the old passport to NDVO. In fact if you had gone thro VFS, they would have asked you to submit your old passport as well.
I would like to propose this action :
1. Send an e-mail through the official route to NDVO with your full name, Appln # Etc. that you are going to send the old passport now in support of your statement that .... Also in the subject line in CAPS, put the wording URGENT & IMPORTANT
2. Send the Passport with the cover letter
3. Keep your fingers crossed.
By delaying these actions you are risking yourself for a big delay / very less window of opportunity for immigration preparation.

I have still not received any response for my mail/ online- services query on the passport issue

Don't know what stand to take. I am little reluctant to send the old passport separately along with a covering letter.

Any one in the same situation who sent only the new PP got DM/ visa stamped, though u have an old passport? Please confirm

Need your suggestions on this issue

I have got AOR on 21 feb, in PER and AOR mail which i got there is a small mistake in my name, like my correct name is XXXXX XXXXXKUMAR XXXXX but they wrote it like XXXXX XXXXXKUM XXXXX.

So they left two letters from my middle name, is it a problem?

Should i have to write NDVO or not confuse :'( :'( :'(

Does anybody have similar kind of experience , Please suggest

No need to inform them. Even when you fill Schedule 3 Form then your surname will not appear in full.
Even you need Visa to fly not this email.

At the risk of asking a question asked a zillion times, I wish to know how to carry the funds with me to Canada.

1) Cash - I find it too risky to carry 14 grand with me.

2) Scotia Bank - Delhi branch told me that they would require 25 days at least before my account opens. This makes it difficult.

3) Bank DD - I wish to know that whether the bank where I deposit this DD (made by SBI India) shall also levy transaction fees and forex charges. Then this option screws you twice.

Can i deposit the Traveller's cheque in the bank? & if I buy travellers cheque worth 14K CAD, and I deposit it in the bank, shall my account be credited with 14K ??

You can try for NOVA SCOTIA NOMINEE PROGRAM.

Require atleast 2 years of job experience in last 5 years in one of the eligible NOCs.
