Hello All,

I have been inactive on this forum since my application was returned back in July 2013. But now I have a GOOD NEWS to share with you all.

My attorney in Canada had requested CIC to reconsider their decision in Aug 2013. They came back in Jan 2014 and approved my application. Here is my timeline:

Received PER: Jan 23, 2014
Received MR & RFRP fee: Feb 11, 2014
Completed Medical Exam: Feb 12, 2014
Medical received line updated in ECAS: Feb 17, 2014
Passport request: Mar 3, 2014
Passport sent: Mar 5, 2014
Passport received with Visa and COPR: [glow=red,2,300]March 14, 2014[/glow]

Please update the tracker.

Guys!! is there anyone updating the Global Spread sheet?? looks like it hasn't been updated for a while

Hi guys! I already received MR, PCC and RPRF. with additional documents regarding my POF. (March 13, 2014)

I would like to ask for help.. What do you think is the best document or explanation for this..

o Client Information: Receipt of information from client Please provide documents regarding your source of funds in your bank statement.

Hello guys...

I got my visa on march 12/03/2014... m planning to do my landing in the month of august. i m likely to get married in the month of may. so do i need to inform cic about my change in the marital satus??? if so how do need to??

A bit confused after reading the terms and conditions copy which i have got with my passport, and COPR....

Experts and seniors please do help...

As per my knowledge, if you get married before landing then your family status get changed hence your PR visa & COPR becomes null & void. If you hide this information from CHC/CIC and land without informing them, then you will never be able to sponsor your wife. And if you try to sponsor your wife, then CHC/CIC will come to know that you get married before landing and you didn't inform CHC/CIC; hence it may be considered as misrepresentation and you will fall in great trouble.

Having said that, you have two options.

First option is to get married before landing, send your passport & COPR to NDVO along with updated forms and supporting documents to add your wife in your application. NDVO will cancel your PR Visa and COPR, will issue MR to your wife and then, PR visas and COPRs will be issued to you and your wife.

Second option is to land first in Canada, get your PR card, come back & get married. After that you sponsor your wife and follow that procedure. As per my information, it is taking 3 to 4 years to sponsor spouse/family members these days for Canada.

First option is more quick. You must also check with expert lawyer to decide the way forward.
