Fees are payable in Canadian dollars or Indian Rupees. Only bank drafts (demand drafts) or certified cheques are accepted; cash is not accepted for fee payment. The bank draft should be made for the exact amount and in favour of "Canadian High Commission" or "Receiver General for Canada" payable at New Delhi.

Plz go to http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/india-inde/visas/fees-frais.aspx

Hi all: I didn't check these instructions carefully and have paid the money using CC and attached the receipt. Is there anyone with DM status from NDVO who paid with CC?
What are the steps that I can take now?
My current status is Medical results have been received

Friends, one question.

Once received PER on mil, is it advisable to start with process of getting PCC for myself and my spouse (in order to save some time) or should I wait for email from CHC in Delhi? My details are as under:

NOC: 3215
App Received at CIO: 29 Jan 2014
PER Received: 6th March 2014

Contrary to what people are saying I believe that paying by CC should be ok. It may slow your DM as the money may have to be allocated to NDVO by CIC before they proceed. Other than that I don't see anything wrong with it. The facility is there on their website to make such payments anyway.
This is clearly a test case. I wish you good luck

I know friends who left their job to avoid this situation. ou should have taken into account the time period for VISA processing. NDVO earlier has a recod of holding PP for atleast 3 months..It is only this time the duration has decreased considerabely ..but only for some.

You only have two options, either you can request NDVO by contacting online but it is very unlikely that they will agree, you can attach some proofs may be that helps. Or you have to ask your emlpoyers for extension of our leave.

You have chosen to be on 2 boats at the same time....

There wasnt much choice...when pcc for india n ksa is clear do they still verify....but i have seen ppl had avtimeline of 12-14 days between pp received n dm...

write a mail to the NDVO with urgent in the subject line. But I guess it's not going to help as the visa office has already mentioned that we should be prepare to keep our passports with them for a minimum of two months. I would recommend staying put.

Hi dreamer
Bro where hav they mentioned 2 months...all this talking is getting on my nerves...thnks for ur input anyways

There is 'PRIORITY PROCESSING REQUEST FORM' for Canada. you need to fill this form and submit to embassy.
reason could this request could be:

1) Urgent and unexpected medical situation with immediate family in Canada (provide details and a letter/fax from the Canadian doctor/hospital).
2) Urgent business travels to a country other than Canada for which you require your passport. (Provide details on official company letterhead paper).

usually any other reason is not accepted.

Outcome:

Either they will process your request within requested timeline Or you will get a call from them saying not possible to process within requested time.

Option: If they are not able to process in requested time then you may be asked to take your passport back and keep your application with them in Status 'Open'
and once you come back and submit them the passport in reference to your conversation and they will resume the processing that time.

I have availed this facility to travel to other country before travelling to Canada and re-submitted my passport after coming back (that was not PR apps but WP)

Thanks,
Depesh

Where will i get this priority processing form..... staying n maintaining current job isnt this an urgency?

Please advise bro do i wait a couple of days or raise cse?

Could anyone please help me. I need to know anyone here who is abroad and already undergo CEM interview.

My questions are:
1. Did the CEM give you more days in your notification letter?
2. Are you interviewed in the Philippines or abroad?
3. I am the principal applicant but my family is in the Philippines, would they require me to be interviewed in the Philippines? What is your opinion, anyone?
4. I am presently working here in Saudi Arabia, still waiting for CEM interview and MR. Is it possible that I could be interviewed here in Saudi Arabia? What about MR?
5. CIO started processing my FSW application last June, 2013, should I prepare now for possible interview?

I am hoping someone could help me answer my queries. Thanks in advance. :)

They can verify anytime...
Yes people hav got passports in 12-14 days...As per the sheet maintained by forum 13 out of 90+ have recieved DM in 30 days. PP back timeline is diffeent matter vaies from 2 to 15 days. And if you look closely, most who got DM in short span are May and June applicants.

Also if you have urgency, i am sure most of applicants can present a valid reason for urgency. And if that has to be agreed by CIC then we should be getting PP back with DM in a week. I am not accusing you here of anything but It will take considerable effort from your side to make CIC believe in you and deliver early over others. They won't go beyond what can be challanged in court if someone felt neglcted by others priority.

How long does it take for for PP to reach back Mumbai after decision made. Do they send it via SpeedPost. ???

Yes, they send it via speedpost if you had not used VFS. But Speed post also doesnt take more than 8 days to get your passports in Mumbai. I got mine in flat 5 days.

Congrats atipra. I am glad that you received a positive response from them. The email you have received could very well be your PER. Wish you a quick AOR and MR now.

Just for curiosity, do the opening lines of the email read something like this?

"This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada in the Federal Skilled Worker class.

The Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism issued instructions which were published in the Canada Gazette on May 4, 2013. Only applicants who meet the criteria specified in these Ministerial Instructions are eligible to be processed in the Federal Skilled Worker class.

Based on a review of the information you have provided, your application has received a positive determination of eligibility to be processed on the basis of work experience in an occupation specified in the Instructions issued by the Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism and published in the Canada Gazette on May 4, 2013. However a final decision on your eligibility to be selected as a federal skilled worker will be made by a visa office."
Thanks, Devkis....but opening lines are not like u hv mentioned. I mailed to cic-sydney-enquiry mail address u gave me and to the NDVO mail id given
on cic website. NDVO replied and asked me to fill the enquiry form and thru that i cud get my file no. i hv not received any mail from cic till now.....so no PER yet. i doubt what cud be the reason for not sending PER or if they'll be sending in coming days....why so late?
May be God knows the best!! Thanks a lot. :)

Hi Jiggzy - thanks for your work on the spreadsheet!

Just a minor issue with our data - although we do not know when exactly Vienna received our file we did receive contact from them for the first time on 28 August 2013 so maybe this date could be input?

Still nothing further from Vienna for us or anyone but at least Borojevic now has the second line so fingers crossed they might start moving soon.

Thanks again!
