Hello forumites

I hope if anyone answer my query. As, I hv 2 quests only....

* I have applied from India as fswp and have done my ppr but my quest is = From where my passport will get back to me ( from NDVO or from Canada)

* 2nd is if anyone know when usually they update d status? ( as i hv heard usually they go on wednesday and friday for updates)

Plz give views so that others also can able to understand the matter more briefly?

thnx :) :)

Hi guramar,

1. My understanding is that, if the passport is submitted to NDVO, then it will be stamped in New Delhi, India and sent back to the individual. It will not be sent to Canada.
2. In general, DM status updates on ECAS are happening on any of the days of the week. However, During last one month we have seen many DM updates happening towards the end of the week - TH/F/S.

Hi Guys

I am planning to move to Calgary in April. For the flights that go through US airports, it is written that Transit Visa may be required.

What does this means ??

We cant travel on these flights without having transit visa ??

Please share your experience

Thanks!!

You need transit visa for travel through US airport.

You can change your route to London heathrow or somewhere else where PR visa holder don't require a transit visa.

You can check with many airlines thro' other route. Just check with www.cleartrip.com to understand the operators and fare to this route.

Transit visa is required for connecting through US. It is a pain to trvel through US as you will be required to collect your check in baggage in us even though you may be in transit. Better avoid the US.. I would recommend travelling via Dubai , London , Paris, Amsterdam , Frankfurt etc.. But not through us.. Especially without us transit visa
