Guys,

Today I went to PSK for taking PCC in advance. They said PCC request letter from Canadian embassy is required to take the PCC... Is it like that? We can't take PCC without the PCC request letter from embassy?

No it is not mandatory to show the PCC request letter form VO. I also got it in advance from Delhi with in 1:30 hrs. The process was quite clean

Dear Rakeshtk, every peon, security guard and clerk in India feels he is president when in his seat/uniform. This is not correct, there are many who got without any request letter from CHC. The guy is obviously making rules of his own - which is common practice throughout. But, there isn't much that can be done about it I guess. Some PSKs seem to ask for it for reason known only to them.

Thanks Mahyn,

But this is a vicious circle here, without TRF - no application ... without application - no two TRFs... Classic Deadlock.

or is it that we can request a second original again after applying ?

You can provide a copy of your ECA and a copy of application form and a copy of your DD ( if you are applying using a DD).
This is enough of a proof.

Cheers.

Dear Aero_aayush,
Yes. You can apply for a duplicate citing the reasons & relevant documents. IDP will provide you a duplicate, and if my memory serves me right they will provide it directly to the requesting agency.

Best Regards,
Rao

Hello Dear Forumites.... Thank you all for you support.

Its Decision Made on March 05th 2014, my sons' birthday.

I checked it en-route from Shirdi to Hyderabad, yesterday. My joy knew no bounds, but restricted myself to show my excitement in the bus which we were traveling.

Congratulations to all who got their MR/DM. And praying for all to get their MR especially to bhFSW2174 and also to get their DM very soon....

Thank You

Which is the best immigration consultant for Canada?

this is the information i got from http://www.health.alberta.ca/

For AHCIP (Alberta health card), we need following docs:
1. Alberta residency:(utility bills/bank statement/lease agreement)
2. Government issued photo identification:(Canadian/Non-Canadian passport)
3. Legal entitlement to be in Canada:(Permanent Resident Card/Canada entry document(work/study/visitor permit)
Processing time can take up to 5 days.
Also you should be committed to being physically present in Alberta for at least 183 days in a 12 month period

If you are moving or returning to Alberta from outside Canada, you might be eligible for coverage on the date of your arrival. You must register within 3 months of arrival.

You are not covered for insured medical services until all the required information is received and your application is processed. However, any medical services you receive and pay for before your application is processed may be reimbursed once you have your personal health care card and can show eligibility for the period when you received the services.

Midwifery is not covered by the Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan but it is available through Alberta Health Services

Same thing they ask to me as well!

Now see , what they want and what they understand is very different.

I came out of psk and went to cyber cafe which was near to psk , get print of two pages from guideline for Pcc of cic and submits along with application in psk and they accept it!! :P :P 8)

I said this is their URL and on that website it is written like this,if you are still not convience please let me talk your senior , she called her senior and I explained situation and they accept my application.i told them this is general guideline for the world!! I can't get special love letter from cic for Pcc!

@ preseverance , I don't think they are considering themselves as president , they think they are people who decide and select person for president. They are superpower in this system!! More than president!! 8) 8)

Agree with you. I had an almost similar experience when I went for obtaining the PCC.
Mine was over within 30 Mins.(A-B-C - signoff & issue) But my wife was asked quite a few questions and I had to produce the request letter from NDVO to support the PCC request and on the basis of it she got the PCC after 2 hrs.
Moral of the experience : Be prepared with relevant supporting Documents when you approach a governmental agency. :)

Rao

based on this information, it seems that health card takes 5 days and you need rent agreement/bank statement for this.also you need PR card which itself takes 6 weeks. As i am planning to land in april end and my wife due date is 12 june...will i have to pay initially and then reimbursed?also midwifery is not covered...does that mean that child delivery will not be covered at all?

Could anyone advise me if it okay to send PCCs' to LVO eventhough I didn't received any mail asking for it? Do it need to translate the PCC in SAUDI to english? I was just thinking because it was in arabic, but there was a little portion there which was written "No Criminal Records". I think that would suffice the translation?
