Dear Forumites,

Yesterday i had gone to VFS New Delhi to send docs to Canadian High Commission, they have increased their charges from yesterday to INR 645/- per passport( earlier it was INR 400 per passport), so I had to pay INR 1290/- for me and my spouse, so VFS is a bit expensive, and safe and secure also and also they provide SMS service.

Yesterday evening I got the message that your passports have been delivered for further processing, so its a good and quick service they provide.

And when i came out of the VFS, there was a guy standing there of Sunrise Aviation, they are giving discounts on international flights 5% to 10%, which i found a good option for booking and saving some money, i thought this will be useful for all forumites, their contact numbers are 011-43724372, 23363050, 9718502525, 9718502626.

:) :)

Hello Everyone,

I had a quick question - I am about to get my PR through FSW 2013 - just got my PPR - my question is - can I enter Canada once I get the visa - collect my green card and return to US to finish the project I am on - will continue for another 6 - 7 months I believe - I can try to spend time in between in Canada - but I will need to keep coming back to finish up

my understanding is to retain status I need to accumulate 2 years over any 5 year period. Is that correct? Also, are there are any repercussions, anyone is aware of, working outside the country for some time right after you are granted your PR?

Any insights would be very much appreciated!

Yes brother u can do this. After entering on CA first u need to apply for PR card which will take avg 90 days . For this, u can give ur relative/friend's inside CA address. This way u avoid to stay this PR card waiting period.

Current rule for citizenship is to stay 3 year (not 2 yrs) out of five. But there is new proposal which can be approved soon. If it is approved, then u will need to stay 4 yrs out of Six.

Hope this will help.

Anyway brother can u please share ur timelines of application like below ? This will help others .. :D

What r ur plans for landing?

I intend departing on 26th of May from Cochin and I was looking for a flight that allows maximum luggage.
There are flights with 46kgs + 7kgs hand baggage =53kgs. Wonder if that will suffice for a family of 3 that includes a 6 year old girl.

So today i got my file back, with the reason, lack of reference letters in the required format....

My consultant screwed me... but learnt a valuable lesson... Self help is the best help...

Anyways, all the best to my fellow mates, see you in canada in 2015...
