- January 30 - we received a notification / email from CEM for an interview
dated Feb 24 @ Canadian Embassy - RCBC Plaza - Mkti

- Interview result - awaiting for 2-3 weeks formal email for the next procedure which is the MR.

I contacted CIC call center to verify whether bank statement from Indian bank is accepted as Proof of fund on landing.

The call center agent told me that it is accepted but it should show the conversion from Indian rupees to Canadian dollars. 8)

Great info rawdah... You are the one who always takes initiatives in everything.... I felt it since the time I started posting comments in " FSW 2013 Applicants Timeline- Lets Network Here".... Hope everyone who visiting the forum regularly know I am a daily customer here ..... This forum's success would have been impossible without a person like you.... Keep the spirit...

It is always advisable to avoid bank statements for there have been cases where an immigrant was denied entry despite the fact that the statement came from reputed banks as Standard Chartered and HSBC. Though, I'm not saying none will be accepted at all but it's still best to avoid statement for their uncertainty of being accepted/rejected.

From my understanding, it is always best to carry a combination of Paper currency, TC, Bank drafts and/or other forms of disposable assets.

After eight and half months of many anxious moments, finally got the maple leaf stamped visa and CPR on 24/02/14. considering the fact that millions aspire for it and tens of thousands apply and a handful get chosen, I consider myself lucky and blessed to have it. Equally fortunate I am to have come across this wonderful forum.
