Is it that you have not mentioned anything in the Surname field for your wife. If that is the case, NDVO has used her old surname. Check with the hospital staff if any modifications are required. Also, put a mail to NDVO informing them the discrepancy.

Hello Vedh,

Yes you are correct, they have used the name from her old passport. I have discussed this with my consultant, he said that this is "OKAY".

Now, while sending the PP/RPRF/medicals they will entertain this information in cover letter (moreover i will be sending both PP to CHC - this will clear the situation their)

Note: I have received renewed PP's two weeks before my MR & the attested copies for both with cover letter was couriered to CHC immediately (I think officer @CHC didn't updated the new details.)

Guys, I've received our Passports today with the shiny Maple leaf on them. Visa issue date 4-Feb-2014, expiring 14-Oct-2014 which is the expiry date for my passport as well. My spouse also has the same visa expiry although her passport will expire in 2019...but I understand the logic.

Background check after PP request .... that is really weird. They don't do BGC after encashing RPRF fees, as far as I know.

It was done on 8th January 2014..

same s*** ... mine was also on 8th Jan 2014. I think back ground check could be with regards to PCC and that is why it might be getting delayed ... and not work related check. Mine is a public ltd company.... so I don't thing they would waste money getting that done....

I think that reply is one of their templates for all replies from them. Their working ways and replies are weird. Nothing to be worried bout .
