Self attested job description is not accepted by CIC.....I know one candidate already rejected by submitting the self attested job duties.. However, all things depends on your visa officer. Your application filed date is 20th Dec and payment method is via DD... DD usually take some time to encash than CC.. In my case it took 2 weeks more incomparison to the one paid through CC.... Your employer was unwilling to give the reference letter?

It is highly accepted buddy........ Many of friends Job descriptions are accepted in that way
Because no where in our exp letters it will be mentioned except joining date, end date and duration, position ....
CIC clearly states to provide any extra clarification which support your claims
In the form of explanation....,,,
Yep....... Finally.,,..,, that purely depends on how CO takes it. ..... As you said....

Dear, have you received your application package back or it is still with CIC. To be honest, very few of us were able to get the experience letters in the way CIC wants. All employers do resist in one or other way. I was able to get the experience letters and I attached JDs with them, that worked for me at least.

To be honest Sherdills, i have not received any mail from CIO stating any rejection. i have a hunch that it will be rejected bcoz my DD has not even been submitted for clearance, while many other applicants around my submission date got their payment encashed. My case is similar to yours, so maybe i am just being very skeptical...

Bhaumick,

Have you submitted experience letters, pay slips, salaried account statements, offer letters, confirmation of permanent employment letters, promotion letters, work permits (if applicable) etc. with your application?

My employers were not giving me those letters, stating come policy bull*censored word*... but i kept on peskering them, and finally two of them gave me those letters in january, but that was one month too late.. two of my past employers are still not budging...
The issue here is that if those letters were compulsary and my application got rejected bcoz of that, my consultant should have informed me of the consequences and importance of those letters. He should never have filed my application without them. Instead he made me relaxed, and assured me that the letters are not mandatory... Now that i have those letters in hand, which account for 6 years of my work experience, i feel my consultant was negligent and so i blew off my chance...

Dear Bhaumick
Just Relax !
Now whats done is done, instead of complaining just go for the solutions.
First let me explain the rules, what are your total points ?
In order to meet the criteria, you should have one year (or equivalent part time) paid work experience in last 10 years. The letter you provided must suffice this requirement.
How many points you are claiming for the experience ?
If you have your letter on hand, I advice you to send the letter immediately to CIO along with the explanation letter. Rest leave it on God.
Don't go for blame game its just wait of time. I have been through many rough roads and I have learnt that we are the one who is responsible to shape our destiny. Nobody would care for our destiny in this materialistic world. This is my advice and I am not an expert.

Thanks this was useful info.

Some useful info.

Here's the exact quote from the passport specs :

"Passport Specifications

If any of the passports submitted do not meet the following specifications, all passports will be returned to you without visas. This delay will shorten the amount of time that you will have to travel to Canada to become a permanent resident.
1. All names and dates of birth must be printed in each passport in English or French.
2. The given name (first name) of the passport-holder must be clearly printed on the Given Name line of the biodata page of each passport. The surname (last name) of the passport-holder must be clearly printed on the Surname line of the biodata page of each passport. They should match your Updated Information Chart.
3. Your spouse must have their own passport. Your accompanying children should also each have their own passports.
4. Each passport must have at least two empty pages.
5. For your visas to have maximum validity, all passports should be valid for at least 12 months from the date of your medical examinations.
6. All passports must be intact and not worn, torn or otherwise damaged; the laminate on the biodata page must be securely attached. Each page must be securely affixed to the passport; there cannot be any loose pages. Ordinary passports are the only type of passport into which a permanent resident visa may be inserted. Diplomatic, official, special or other similar types of passports are NOT acceptable."

Dear Bhaumick

Why dont you drop an email to CIC Sydney, about your case?.
They will clarify your concerns

Stay Blessed

I understand, the phase is full of tension since you are expecting something good with a fear something bad can happen? Relax have patience and keep following up your application with CIC. Until you get a no from them, your chances are on :-) Good Luck.

Dear Member,
Remember me, you will make it ! ! Its almighty who is always at your help and just believe on your decision. Taking advice is one thing and acting is another. What I suggest is take the advice from the experts but sometime experts are also wrong and hence at that point almighty will work for you because he can never be wrong
