It's fine to travel by road.. I have been through this process.. Once you enter the Boarder for Canada they will send you to another booth/building to fill your papers.. It will take time at the boarder but they are friendly.. so, you can travel through road..

I mentioned Toronto as part of my Port of entry in my FSW documents. I am planning to drive to Canada from NY, USA.

Is it okay to land in Canada by road? I mean, I hope all the Immigration formalities could be been done at the Canada check point.. I never been to Canada from US, so I am not sure what actually happen when you are landing in Canada by road to do the PR formalities. After the approval, I have got 1 year of Visa for Canada, am I am supposed to enter in the Canada once before Nov 2014 since Visa is only valid for a year or so.

Does anyone knows how long it is taking currently for CPO-O to process forms for a new born baby and send request for medical for the baby? I know its a tough questions..and was wondering if anyone is in the same situation? i just sent the baby forms last week.

How long its taking currently from passport request to actual getting passport back with maple leaf? Please help.

I got a mail yesterday at 0856 Hrs - just one day past the due date of submission of docs to CHC - from DELHIIMMIGRATION (the same ID from which I got Medical requests) but that was all about a invitation (reminder) to participate in CIIP; nothing else. Haven't yet registered for it, though.

Some of you also might have got similar email.

We received the same mail yesterday. Although i finished the CIIP on 22nd. Secondly Manishnep got his visa ...the only one from 2013 FSW i guess.!!!!

Dear friends,

Great Day of this immigration journey!

Today I got my Passport with Canadian Visa.

My Visa was issued on 17/01/2014.

Application reached at CIC on 13/05/2013 and after 8 months and 10 days, this process came to at logical end.

Happy and excited too.

My sincere thanks goes to all the forum members who had advised selflessly throughout this period. You guys are really genuine.

I also pray with almighty god to give this opportunity of being happy to all the friends as soon as possible.

I am going for medicals in 2-3 days...my wife is pregnant and due date is in June....should i inform this to NDVO( in case specific link as well as in a cover letter while sending my passports to NDVO)....or only after birth of my child i should inform them...as informing them now may delay my case...but even if i don't inform them i guess medical report will tell them that my wife is pregnant...so what should i do...inform them or not??????

I think there is no need to tell NDVO now but you have to tell doctor...and I am sure in June you will be in Canada
