Hi,
I want to update the status of my application but somehow I cannot do it on the online file by myself. So can one of the admins help me updating the file? I summarized the updates below. Thanks.

PER received on Aug 23rd 2013.
File transferred to local VO on Oct 02nd 2013. Strangely file has not been transferred to Ankara. Instead of that it is sent to Warsaw. In the file, I have seen other applicants from Turkey put Ankara/Warsaw as visa office. So I guess mine should be the same.
ECAS Status: In progress
ECAS Details: We received your application for permanent residence on June 3, 2013.

PCC from Pakistan

Friends from Pakistan,
any advice how to get PCC from Islamabad? I applied for it through the embassy 45 days ago and still there is no clue if I'm ever gonna get it.

without the Letter from the embassy u can still get the PCC from saudi. I know it coz not once but twice my younger brother had taken it out and that too without any letter ( didnt even knew that until now). This not long its in april 2013.
My brother had gone to the Saudi chamber of commerce and then attested his finger print and submitted it . he got the PCC within 2 weeks,
Obviously, I am not aware of the Process now.

I will not be able to give them police reports from Saudi (because they have to first give me a letter addressed to the Saudi foreign ministry asking for a police clearance for me) and from the US (FBI takes at least 6 weeks to process clearances).

Other police clearances, I will provide them.

I will ask for extension during the interview. I have no choice. I hope it works.

You have to register for it first on CIIP website (http://www.newcomersuccess.ca/index.php/en/about-ciip/how-to-register-with-ciip‎). Unless you register, you won't get an invitation. Unless you get an invitation, most probably they won't allow you to sit for the session. Because they need to plan their things based on the number of registrations they receive for the participation...

FYI, you need to have got an MR mail.

You are eligible if you have received one of the following:
an invitation letter and CIIP brochure
a medical/security notification letter
a visa pick-up notification letter
a Canadian visa (but have not landed permanently in Canada yet)

Hi all,
I've got the unique client identifier number on the 20th of Jan (NOC 3217/application received on 15th NOV/ LVO).
This was the first feedback from CIC, I wish and pray that you all get whatever you're waiting for.
I just need to know what is next and if there is a kind of an average timeline for the following steps.

Assuming you got PER, your next step would be AOR/MR.

For obtaining Saudi PCC, you can get the request letter from Canadian Embassy in Riyadh or Indian/Pakistani Embassy depending upon your nationality.
