I am also interested in applying for registration as professional engineer
kindly advise

1. Is it possible to start the process, while we are in India yet?
2. From which province body it is easier to get registered i.e. APEGA or PEO etc.?
3. will this registration with one province body work in other provinces too i.e. registration with APEGA work in BC or just in Alberta ?
4. I read somewhere that to get professional engineers license one must should work in Canada
for at least one year,how is it possible while staying in India?
5. Finally, how much will it cost?

I'll answer your question based on my experience with Apega, I don't know how the other bodies work, but I bet is quite the same. Instead of boring explanation, I decided to put the options in the form of an algorithm:

          if (status == "Citizen" or status == "Landed Immigrant") {
               apply_as = "Professional Member"; }
          else {
               apply_as = "Foreign Licensee"; }
     }
     else {
          apply_as = "Member in Training"; 
     }

Once you apply, you'll have a timeline like this:

You can apply for a MIT or Foreign Licensee membership from your home country. Once you meet any of the requirements, you can upgrade to the Professional Engineer membership.
As a P.Eng. you can transfer your registration to many provinces, perhaps all of them.

Abu hassan ...god bless u my darling and all my lovely forum guys.......i have been refreshing my gmail atleast 200 times since yesterday....and i was thinking of my aor email which came at 4 pm two months ago.....and i am very much optimistic it will come anytime around 3 or 4pm.....and to my surprise i was again refreshing today after my lunch.....and i tell u what i finally got the f***************** crazy MR email just now...............thnk u so much all...and good luck to every one waiting 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)......and in my view mr emails are mostly coming around 2pm to 5pm ist....so keep refreshing...................i am yet to read it completely...i will keep u guys posted..............nik u shd be next...keep watching

Did you add your spouse docs finally?

Since I am under timelines to complete medicals,I was adviced by my consultant to get medicals done for principal applicant ( me) and send all docs requested for me and my spouse after raising a CSE.
My spouse docs are still WIP.Hope to send all soon.

@ur anxiety on sending docs+passport--go with bluedart...(my consultant suggestion)..no point in paying extra money to VFS.
