I'm not a PR but I'm a member at Apega, I just need to write an exam to upgrade the registration and I'm planning to do that as soon as I land. I encourage everyone to do the same from their home countries because the process can take fom six months to a year.

I am thinking of other way round....... I do go for registration with same body once I land...... Much easier.....:)
By the way am an associate member in IIChE.....IEI....My membership in EA expired.....don't want to renew it.....:)

Anyone knows if there are usually money changers at port of entries? Specifically in Toronto. Planning to bring bank draft and small amount of cash (USD). Thanks!

You can apply for a professional engineer registration in any province even before you apply for a PR Visa. They won't ask you any details of your FSWP application.

Dear ABHereICome,

I am also interested in applying for registration as professional engineer
kindly advise

1. Is it possible to start the process, while we are in India yet?
2. From which province body it is easier to get registered i.e. APEGA or PEO etc.?
3. will this registration with one province body work in other provinces too i.e. registration with APEGA work in BC or just in Alberta ?
4. I read somewhere that to get professional engineers license one must should work in Canada
for at least one year, how is it possible while staying in India?
5. Finally, how much will it cost?

Thanks

AK2147,

You really don't need to send JD or reference letter from the new employer as you have already been found eligible and securing 67 or more points. Including the documents you mentioned, I suggest you to send Experience Letter from the company you have just resigned, updated Schedule A Background / Declaration form and updated Schedule 3 Economic Classes - Federal Skilled Workers form.

Good luck with your application buddy.

Hi All,

I have recently changed by job and want to update my VO. Please let me know what documents I should send. New organization is reluctant to give me JD in written. below mentioned documents would be enough or I need to send anything else?

> Resignation letter submitted to last company.
> Contract letter of new job.
> Pay slip of new job.
> covering letter.
