Hi Rakesh,

The CIC link is new to me. Thank you.
I wouldn't have brought this topic up if my consultant told me this information. I have been told this by someone who has gone to Canada in the FSW category and I consider that chap as a reliable source of information.
The fact that this has not been reported by anyone else is a big relief, however I am a wee bit skeptical about what he told me. What if they ask and what if he is right? are the questions that still lingers in my mind.

Let's see, I have another headache to get over with.

My application (documents, passport, pcc, meds, RPRF) is supposed to reach NDVO by 20th January 2014 and the line which says that they have received my medicals is not updated yet.
Got my medicals done in Fortis Bangalore on 18th December 2013. I checked with them and I was told that the report was only sent on 26th December 2013. >:(
Now I am worried seeing others having their Meds getting updated in ECAS. I sit and wonder where the heck is my medical report?

Another stupid mistake I made was not taking a copy of the DD I drew in favour of Canadian High Commission. Damn!!
Now I have no clue, how to check the status of my DD.

Regarding your demand draft status, just go to the bank and give them date on which you draw the Demand draft.
As the drawing bank has to verify the status of demand draft periodically, they will be certainly having the records for the same. Further, as this may be time consuming process to search for the demand draft, bank people will just say a simple answer : WE DON'T KNOW. But as said by someone, Request is the most powerful weapon ever invented, hence request them and you will be done with the status of the demand draft. Moreover, note the number of instrument drawn by your bank for your further reference.
With which bank you are banking with ?

Thanks.. First thing tomorrow morning, I will visit the bank to know the status of the DD.

It's Corporation Bank. :D

Dear Member,
Visit the branch from where you have drawn the DD and you will be fine with the status :D

Hi All,

Just been to the bank and I got to know that the DD has been encashed. However, the bank official couldn't tell me when it was done.
Anyway, I am a little relaxed now. At least my passport and other documents are with them.

Thank you all for your time. +1 for all.

Manila office is sleeping? After PER, no news.
CIC said the processing time will be 18 months at Manila office.
It's too long time to get a visa. Is it true?

To all Senior forum mites !

I request you to kindly answer following queries ????

1. How much further, we should wait for VISA Stamping after submission of MED, PCC, PRPRF and PP to NDVO ?

I am really getting nervous due to this wait... wait... and wait.... I feel like life has become stagnant on this forum for PR stamp, I like to be in motion of life/activity, it results in being very difficult situation for me to pass time.... I am not able to take away my mind from it... Even i have sleep with thoughts and fear for PR stamp .....

2. Our stage is waiting for visa stamping. On this stage can NDVO people go for background check or any request for any additional document ?????

I appreciate your answers..... I know everyone is going through this dilemma only...

Regards....

Bro,

This way you are going to have a nervous breakdown.........U need that strength and resolve to succeed in Canada.

So stop being anxious and start dreaming...........!! You know well now you cannot falter.......this was the final milestone....(at least while you are in India)...

As far as your question goes........it might take 3 to 4 weeks for those guys at NDVO to send you your beautiful stamp......... 8) 8) 8)

Till then...........start sharpening you axe.........you r going to need all the positive energy !!

Regards,
Mav

Manonquest,

I can understand your frustration. But mate, try to undertsand the situation. There are still some forumites belonging to NDVO, who have not got their MRs. Try to understand how difficult for them the situation might be.
Its just matter of time, I think max to max 45 days after sending your passports, you will get back your PP with the shining maple leaf. So have patience, and try to indulge yourself in studying the job market, culture of the new country. This way, you will not find the waiting time a liling one.

Regarding BG check, I dont think, after PP request, anyone will have BG check. So stay calm and relax. :)

Thanks buddy... but I got hesitated and irritated with this waiting system for PR approval... It is destroying energies...

We are a new blood of INDIA, which has very low boiling point and very ambitious to do/achieve something for us, for our family and for our nation and even for PR awarding country.... I request CIC consider this attitude of new INDIA and let us continue our natural rhythm which will benefit them most...

Regards
