I agree. FSW applicants can land any where except qubec. They can work and settle any where in canada.
again I insist..I have booked my flight from Doha to Montreal and than Edmonton..I have contacted Edmonton Airport/Montreal airport and got the information that all the landing formalities including Immigration will be done at Montreal (Even I am FSW). and wat i found on map I think Montreal is in Quebec..isnt it???

Thanks everyone for your wishes ...... I pray for the our forum members to get their PER , MR and finally PR soon.

Is there any set of documents need to send if my spouse applied for a new passport now ?? Problem is when she applied for a new passport before applying PR , by mistake her Given Name and Surname got altered.

Then I reapplied for a new passport and with the correction and sent a letter to NDVO and along with Notarized copies of her new and old passport ( along with the doc to include my child )

However , they have not updated / corrected her given name and Surname .

Can I call NDVO , is there a way to speak to agent , I sent email also but yet to recevied any reply from them.

Any suggestion

So it should be like this:

FSW Applicants can land anywhere in Canada and complete all their landing formalities but for landing in Quebec they must have proof of onward transportation out of Quebec. 8)

Hi all,
I am just concerned about one thing as nov applicants are currently been charged.
my app reached(DELIVERED) CIC on 29th nov.
As per the courier website, in the signature column there is only "SIGN" mentioned.
there is no particular name mentioned as to who has accepted my package delivery.
please, can anyone comment/reply to my post if this kind of scenario is faced previously...
waiting & worried :-X :-\ :-[ ??? :(

FSW applicant land in quebec. My brother landed there last year and no restriction at all. All the paper work done at airport.

ahh ....being july applicant I get so restless and impatient when I think about MR....I can imagine how it should be for may/june applicants..........................ohhh goddddddddddddddddddd can u plzz open the MR flood gates from Monday again and ensure every one gets it super quick :P :P :P

I have a question.... What is the Criteria that an application falls into NER (after fees encashed) ?
So far, I think this year all the applications whose Fees got encashed, got PER...correct me If I am wrong?

Some Applications got rejected even after CC charge.

Reasons failure to score 67 points, WES ECA showing non recognized university etc

Email from CIC to one of the applicant :-

Acceptable proof of funds are:

-bank accounts in your name or the name of your accompanying spouse/common-law partner;

-cashable investments in your name or the name of your accompanying spouse/common-law partner;

-cashable fixed deposits in your name or the name of your accompanying spouse/common-law partner.

Not acceptable are:

-bank accounts in someone else's name;

-bank accounts which are joint in your name and someone else (other than your accompanying spouse/common-law partner);

-bank accounts in the name of your spouse who is not accompanying you to Canada ;

-property valuations;

-vehicle valuations;

-jewellery valuations.

HTH,

Principal applicant FD along with wife FD is OK..............but exclusively wife's FD is not accepted without principal applicants FD......

thats for sure...... Smiley

I am quoting an old thread here to clarify on submission of joint bank account statements as a proof of settlement funds with "initial application to CIO".

One of my friend (6th Nov applicant, NOC 2134, not in spreadsheet) had submitted a bank statement of a joint account as a proof of settlement funds. His CC got charged yesterday.

The account holders were principal applicant and his mother. The certification letter from bank stated the joint nature of account and the fact that operating instructions are either or survivor.
