Thanks for the detailed answer Abu Hassaan, I guess then I would not update this information if this does not harm my application. The idea was that I don't want any questions raised from Visa officer as to why the information was not updated when the wifey started her job.

Meanwhile, congrats to all those who have received MR, PPR and PR visa! Please keep the fire burning all! We have hope until the very end! As we usher in 2014, we all in this forum shall be receiving our PR visa and landing by end of the year by the special grace of God! Thank you Jesus for your favor which we do not deserve! ;D ;D ;D

A very strange thing happened today. I just left office and I got a call from my reception saying somebody from the Canadian High Commission was there to meet me for some Q&A. I spoke to them on phone, she said she was Shwetha along with her colleague. I offered to come back but they said it was ok and that they were returning back to Delhi today. She said she would get in touch with me later.

Could anybody tell me what this could mean? I am really worried and feel like kicking myself for having left. Could this mean more delay in getting MR. My AOR was received in July.

buddy dont worry. your DD has been cleared. I have already told at this forum , bank is unable to provide you actual status of any international DD.

Even I had same situation where bank confirmed my DD didn't clear but I got my PER n later bank called n confirmed...

So don't loose hope.....if its destined to happen it will happen..keep faith n keep going...

I am in a quandary. Request your suggestions.

I worked in US earlier. So I had requested for FBI criminal check record. However, I received it after I sent the application. I had included just my PCC from India.

1. Does NDVO accept FBI PCC if its old? I got it in June.
2. If so, will I need to reapply again once if I get PCC request from NDVO?
3. I had ordered two copies of criminal check for both my spouse and I. Would it be prudent to send one copy to NDVO now, without them asking for it?

Since getting FBI PCC from India takes time (may be even more than 2 months), I am little worried whether to wait or not. The fact is that I have not stayed in US since October 2012. So even if I request new anytime, it won't be different that what I have today.

Suggestions appreciated.

Today my bank has informed me the status of my DD it is not cleared yet. I am really worried. I lost my hope because all the other October applicants fee is charged by CIC....

There are numerous examples that show that banks just dont bother to confirm from their international counter parts about the actual status of the DD. You will get a PER....Direct.
It will take a couple of weeks from now.

Sam472 , for my case it might be because of addition of my kid , it might got delayed. Few imp facts,

My docs to add my kid reached on 4th Dec and on 7th Dec they made the change that they are processing my application. I checked with ICICI bank on the status of DD and they confirmed that it was encashed on if I remember correctly 13th Dec.

Now wondering it might taking more time , probably might hear something on Jan first week , keeping my fingers crossed.

You can always send doc to NDVO even if they have not asked for it, I would suggest , if you got your file number , send those FBI PCC and they will include in their system.

I think you shouldn't worry until you get written information from CIO. I am sure you will make it. There are cases when cc charge or dd encash was reasonably late than the normal cases. Even in my case it was 2 weeks late. Good luck buddy.

I wasn't clear in my post that neither I could provide alternative proof of job duties nor self-declared job functions except one sentecnece about my major job duties is written in one of my experience letters but still got PER. Well written explanation along with available alternative documents can work fine.

A well prepared and well presented application can find its way to go through. I don't consider my case as an exceptional case rather well prepared and well presented case with luck in my favour.

If one of your experience letter has words like "Designed, Constructed and Commissioned" XYZ projects. I guess that got you through. Best of luck in future.
