How do CHC return our passports ?

Are we allowed to change point of entry to Canada ? At application time i mentioned it as Toronto, but now i wish to land at Vancouver, Does it possible ?

How to show money at air-port ? Is it okay if we open a saving bank account in Canandian bank from India and take statement for deposited CANADIAN $$ ? Will these statement acceptable ?

Soundless,

The PR visa will be valid for 1 year from the date of medical or up to validity of the passport which ever comes first.

Abu Hassan, this is not the case in the country where I live. visa expiry can be ahead of the passport expiry. Thought this should be the case here also.

Regards,

You can land anywhere in Canada except Quebec.

If you bring more than C$10,000 (or the equivalent in another currency) into Canada, you must declare the amount when you arrive. You must fill out form Cross-Border Currency or Monetary Instruments Report .If you do not declare it, you may need to pay a fine or face other penalties. You are not taxed on the money you bring with you when you land.

You can bring money into Canada in the form of:

Cash
Securities in bearer form (for example, stocks, bonds, debentures, treasury bills)
Negotiable instruments in bearer form (for example, bank drafts, cheques, travellers' cheques, money orders)
Transfer of funds between your bank and a Canadian bank

Thank you for your information....

Rawdah, i am bit confuse with your statement " Transfer of funds between your bank and a Canadian bank "

Does it mean, the statement which show balance on our name in any Canadian bank is okay ?

Is US dollar are similarly accepted ????

If we wish to have very authentic information for " showing fund at point of entry topic ", how do we find it ?

ECAS updated today, MR was received on 23rd already updated in forum & sheet.

2. We started processing your application on December 23, 2013.

Re: Question about Passport expiration and VISA

You are right for multiple entry visas/work permits etc. I have also my work permit visa which will expire 1 year after my passport expires. But PR visa is a single entry visa; different rule applies. In any kind of visa, passport must be more than 6 months valid at the time of visa stamping.

They wont look into mouth, ear and nose. so cavities, earwax and hair in nostrils are ok. ;)
but u have to inform about ur wife's gall bladder removal. they ask for past history of surgery and in general physical examination they look for any marks or such. carry papers related to surgery with u.
