Guys,

I have a question. May sound silly but i guess it might help others as well.

I am staying in Bangalore since last 18 months. So do i necessarily have to get PCC from PSK in Bangalore or can i get it done from my hometown in Punjab? Your response is highly appreciated!

Hi All,

While we wait for our MRs, PPRs and visas, I took the liberty of thinking ahead and posted a list of questions that I feel is worth discussing.

1. Funds for our visit
How much money to factor?
2. Goods to follow
What and what not to carry? How do we assess their value?
3. Are we job ready for Canada
Certification in our respective trade.
4. Can we leave children behind?
Is it advisable to leave children behind?
5. What do we do with the assets we own?
Sell them, lease them, lend them?
6. What flight to take?
British Airways, JetAir, Kingfisher ;D
7. When to land?
April? May? December? ;D
8. So on and so forth
Any other matter

Though I have compiled a list of experiences, I still believe that a discussion on this matter will be fruitful.
Let me know if this needs to be discussed in a separate thread.

Dear Friends & Seniors,

I have read in the fourm that if the stay in any other country is more than 6 months then we need to provide the PCC of that country.

My wife was in london for three years.

Could you please advise how to get PCC from India for London.
I am still waiting for MR.

Thanks

I had been doing homework on two important aspects recently - Job contacts and flight tickets - as most other are either not applicable or least important to me. I'd been charting international flight fares since November on daily basis. If I get my visa by early January I'll booking flights in 1st week of March Tuesdays or Wednesdays only.

Below study might help and you can put links into your blog;

Thanks. Go to www.acro.co.uk. Website and download the application form, get the printout, fill out all details, including for last ten years, get dd of 45pounds , attach supporting documents requested , photograph and finally send the application to the address given on the website. I hope this will help. I have applied for mine just few days ago.

Thanks. Book marked the link.
I was told by my friend that any transit flight that lands in US soil will require us to have a transit visa. Hence we should avoid any flight via US. Is that true?

Qorax had already indexed some of the most important points/topics of discussion which are very informative. Those are right here: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/-t74858.0.html

Yes, that's true. Even that is mentioned on makemytrip website.

Edit: I am not able to locate a chart which was showing New Delhi to Canada history of flight fares. Dec was off-season, Jan, Feb was slightly higher. Mar saw some more rise and then fell upto Jun. Jul to Oct was peak high. Double the fare of Dec. and then falling back again in Dec.

Is CIO done with oct files for all nocs or only some nocs???...And when thy r gonna strt working on nov files,I am a Nov first week applicant (3211) if anybody could answer... I really appreciate....

Regards
Shweta
