Hi Guys,

Just an Update though not regarding my own application,

My Younger brother got a call from NDVO asking if He can Fly to Canada within 10 days ( Medicals due to expire 30/1/2014) to which my brother readily agreed.
Then the officer said passport shall be with him in the next 10 days.
Applied for FSW : 2012
Interview at NDVO : DEC 2013
Medicals : Jan 2013
Passport Requested : Delay because of checking of name by CISB 26/11/2013 and also my brother had to join work at Saudi, hence requested the passport back from them,

Had your brother been interviewed in December 2013 or 2012 ?

Excuse me my friend, I am not able to understand why passport request delayed ? You explained reason checking of name by CISB --- what does it mean ? what is CISB ?

Regards, good luck wish for your PR process.

I am requesting it again.... Kindly update status of my application.

Thanking you for help from you all...

NIRMAL, don't loose patience...

GOD will be really good with everyone.....

It is very easy to say to calm down, but it is very hard to implement it.... i understand your expectations... brother... Everything will be very best with you...

Regards...

Hang on Nirmal. You'll get it soon and then the process will be so run you won't be able to take a deep breath.

Good things often comes in small packages and a bit late!

Of all the friends i know who have got MR relatively fast...actually have pretty straight forward cases... like 1 year work experience with the same employer, PCC included and all that ... so i think the case officer ( at NDVO) who picks up cases probably has very little to do in such cases and hence shoots the MR mail. IMHO... ;) ;)

Hay nirmal from my sitution (mental condition during this waiting period) frequent mail check, forum check, whatsapp check etc I can understand your sitution as you are far ahead of mine in timeline.

but this MR game is confusing no one understanding what is the system they are adopting. nothing to say just happy waiting (though I cant)

Hi Friends,

Using my UCI number which I received over the phone call to CIC, I was able to login to ECAS and check the status of my application. The page gives details like my name and Address, and a box below states INPROCESS. When I click INPROCESS, it states that "We received your application on September 26, 2013". My CC was charged on Dec 4 2013, but I havent received any PER mail yet??

Can the experts please advise what does it mean???

Amman VO, plssssssssss send me a gift as MR for Christmas!! ;D
You still have 2 days :P

Instruction Guide states how to get certified photocopy of original document which applies to all documents including documents in English and French. The rejection at CIO may happen due to incompleteness of the application if photocopies of supporting documents are not certified but it will certainly depend on Visa Officer at CIO if he is very strict or flexible. Similarly, Visa Officer at Local Visa Office may ask to submit Certified True Copies of all supporting documents which will cause delay in processing of the application. One applicant reported in this forum that Visa Officer asked for Certified True Copies.

I believe that if applicant submits Certified True Copies of supporting documents such as degrees, transcripts, passports, birth certificates, marriage certificates, reference letters etc., then processing should be faster compared to application with Non-Certified True Copies of supporting documents as Visa Officer can see the attestation from the third party that this photocopy is genuine.

As far as COST of getting Certified True Copies of documents is concerned, it is peanuts as compared to total cost of the whole application process. I spent almost CAD 5 per page in UAE to get Certified True Copies of my original documents. I believe that everyone spends full efforts and hard earned money to get through, therefore it is always better not leave any loop hole from our side.

I respect your opinion but after a careful review of instruction guide, document checklist I would stick to what I have said.
"Notarized copies are only required for documents that require translation"
No issues foreseen at CIO or VO.
