I agree that Networking is very important in Canada. We should bring all our friends on a common platform so that even after landing we would be in contact with each other and try to help each other. In my opinion, we should carry forward the bond that we share here for more than 6 months even in Canada.

Yahoogroup is one of such options but what other options we have to integrate the wonderful people out here on a common friendly footing.

Guys and gals, would like to have your views on the above.

Don't forget our Linkedin group ;D

It is growing in a slow pace but I'm thinking of a bot to advertise our members.

HI,
I guess he will get 13 points for experience. Applicants get two points for each year worked in the most recent five years, and one point for each year from the six to ten year period prior to applying, up to a maximum of 15 points. So in this case 10 points for the most recent 5 years and 3 points for the remaining 3 years. so total 13 points

Yes you are right.

Guys ,

for paying the RPRF at NDVO , they are saying we can pay in CAD or INR and it should be payable at new delhi . Has any one made a draft in CAD and payable at new delhi? The banks are saying if you need in CAD it will be payable in Canada. Can you share your experiences please.

Hey guys,

I am applying for the FSW program soon, just getting all my paperwork together but I am a bit confused on some questions.

I am on a positive LMO at the moment and I have my offer of employment, I am applying from Toronto, Ontario and I am from Ireland.

Anyone else done this before or in the same situation that could answer a few silly questions to reassure me??

Which office do I put down for processing my application? As the one I am supposed to also tells me not to >:?
Assets, Liabilities and settlement funds, don't really have any, is it bad to have 0, I have some savings, nothing major!
Do you really require a letter of reference from all employers for the last 10 yrs, would 3 suffice?
Travel information for the last 10 yrs, how exact does this need to be, as I will need to add paper, should I print out the sheet again?

This is all I can think of now,

If anyone could give me some feedback I'd be so grateful! Can't wait to get this thing out of my hands Smiley

I would suggest you go through the instruction in cic website. As you can see in the link (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who.asp) there are some basic eligibility and minimum requirements you HAVE TO FULFIL.

The easiest way to do it is to check whether you have all the documents in the document checklist here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5612E.pdf .

It is highly recommended to go through word by word the instruction guide here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/EG7TOC.asp

Dear Leenie,

If you are living for more than 1 year legally in Canada, you can choose CPP - Ottawa as your visa office, else choose visa office which is serving to applicants from Ireland.

Since you are applying under Arranged Employment Category, you don't need to show any settlement funds. Even with 0, you will go through without any problem. Anyways, you can show whatever you have at the moment.

Well, you require reference letter from all those employers whose work experience will be used to claim the points. In simple words, whichever work experience your will record in Schedule 3 form, you have to produce reference letter for that experience to claim the points. If you are getting 67 or more points with 3 work experiences, you shall record only these in schedule 3 form and attach reference letters. But remember to record all work history in schedule A form.

You have to record all travels except to Canada and to Ireland in travel history form. You have attach extra sheets if available space is not enough.

Hope it will help.
