NDVO people did not intimate that they are coming. They just walked inside the office. They wanted security and front office to identify my husband whether he was working over there and then asked for his boss. When they introduced themselves to his boss and the reason for their visit they had mentioned that it was just a part of the process and this time they have chosen 30 members and out of which my husband is one among them

Sorry, I didn't get what you said. You mean NDVO has called your boss for your background verification and they said they usually select 30 applicants and do background check in random. Is it what you meant?

But then what is the current status which they have put stating 1870 applicants yet to be filled and this is until Dec 31st

Thanks for sharing
This is unfair.

How come they expect people to be in office at 8:30 PM without prior notice.

Also i doubt in company which i work , Security will even entertain them.

Because visitors are not allowed in our company except for particular time and that also prior visiting pass is requried

Even before they came to my husband office they went to Kerala for another applicant who is health and security officer category on Saturday night and since the office was closed they sent a mail to the applicant and also his reference person regarding their visit and regarding rescheduled time to meet

Please go through the details in the link i have provided.
Until December 31st 2013, they are accepting SINP application only from those who have a job offer in hand.
But from January 2nd 2014, they accept applicants without a job offer also :
Read the following page carefully :

http://www.saskimmigrationcanada.ca/sinp-program-changes

International Skilled Worker Category :

The International Skilled Worker Category is for skilled workers who want to work and live in Saskatchewan. This category enables the SINP to nominate individuals with high human capital that have the education, experience, language and adaptability to economically establish and successfully integrate into Saskatchewan's communities. Criteria include:

The point rating system focuses on employment offers, education, work experience, language ability, and family connections, among other factors. The points available for persons with family connections in Saskatchewan are higher than the former Skilled Worker Category (i.e. points for family connections can account for 20% of points).
Applicants must have a minimum language score of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 4, as demonstrated by a SINP-approved language test. CLB 4 is the minimum; language ability of applicants will need to meet the requirement of employers.
Applicants whose occupational education and work experience is in a regulated profession will be required to obtain the appropriate Saskatchewan qualification recognition to be able to work in that profession.
Applicants that do not have a skilled job offer from an approved Saskatchewan employer require proof of settlement funds and must submit a settlement plan.
The SINP will accept 250 applications in 2014 from applicants without an offer of employment whose high skilled occupation is in demand in Saskatchewan. These occupations must have “good” or “fair' employment prospects as per Saskatchewan's Detailed Occupational Outlook (2013-2017). The list of in-demand occupations will be available in December 2013.

Oh is that so. Sorry just being desperate as I am trying to immigrate to AU or Canada through some means or the other and hence have not read the article correctly. Will start the process immediately for jan 2nd 2014 as I have my package already returned for FSW2013. Thanks once again for your revert.

No problem ram040479...

As you know they accept only 250 applications without job offer and its an on-line application method, you should be very well prepared in advance for January 2nd, 2014.

All the best and cheers... :)

This is not right, I mean how do you know they went to Kerala. How can they disclose somebody's else info. This is not right.

Saturday and Sunday's are usually weekends. Background check is fine but, They will not do this without the consent of the Applicant that too on weekends.

In application anywhere as far as I know we did not sign anywhere that they can do this. We signed only for personal interview.

Secondly, they cannot put some one or an employee in predicament or an embarrasing, by meeting their boss. As boss would not have an idea that the applicant has applied for the immigration.

I don't think any of this is right coz all these is well known and is not a right practice especially to CIC.

Medical results have been received.

Passports received at NDVO on December 11, 2013.
