hello forum members,before the federal skilled worker program was launched,i wrote an email to the london visa office to inquire about the processing time for the new federal skilled worker program.i was told the processing time was going to be
9-12 months.so just to say people with clean files should forget about the 25 months period.i think the latest should be janaury 2014 for medicals to start coming.be positive guys.

Bong thanx buddy. even i thought it should take maximum 12 months in the worst case. But most people have got their PR's in just 6-7 months so maybe the slower VO's will take 9-12 months to process. In that case we are going as per schedule. It ain't gonna take much time.

RPRF- Right of Permanent Residence feed.. ($490)..

You can pay this with ur initial application or later stages..
they asked me to pay with my medical request..

Any thoughts on best place to live and work for IT couple in Canada in terms of job opportunities, housing and weather?

Kate to my knowledge Vancouver is the best place for IT. But i also heard that even though Toronto is densely populated they prefer immigrants. Well, it depends where u get the job. To be on the safer side go to Vancouver since its the IT hub in Canada. I heard that climate doesn't go to minus. Although it may rain all through the year.

How did you guys/gals send and receive your passports? According to the email, it seems CPPO only uses regular mail for sending passport back internationally. Is this safe? reliable?

Here are my few cents...
- I sent our passports through Fedex overnight from US to CPP-O on Oct 7 th
- Changed address on my cic file to a canadian address where one of my wife's college mate lives.
- CPP-O confirmed that they will send our passports to the canadian address and our friend in canada will send them to us in US. I believe that's a pretty efficient way if you know someone already in canada.

Good that you added last line or else you'd be shot down by many as well.. What was meant to be taken with pinch of salt, people have taken literally, was meant for VO not the country or delimma as such, shows their frustration as well, which can be understood. Dear FSW2013 last date is 30th April 2014 so i am applying this time only.

If you apply on Jan 2013 your file will be taken for evaluation only on March last or April 1st week so there is a chance for the over all cap 5000 to get fill because its already 2785 now. That's what I meant. It will be better if you could give your IELTS in December 1st or 2nd week.
