Me and my wife had recieved our visa on Nov 10th.

Please update my remaining timeline on speedsheet : MER: Aug 22nd. Passport Request: Oct 22nd. DM: Oct 28th. Passport Recieved: Nov 10th.

My application was recieved by CIC on May 10th so it took exactly 6 month for us to get visa. If any of you had extensive travel history or past canadian education/working experience, your visa office may take a General Background Check on you for security purpose after medical results recieved. This process takes few month to complete so please be patient. I also spent few weeks to get the police certificate from FBI after medicals.

If you are FSW 2013 applicant, medical request is the milestone. So far I have not heard anyone got visa refused after medicals. :)

Hey Kevin... Its a Zip Zaaap Zooooooom VISA...... Wish u good luck for your future endeavor in canada.....

I had a bigger problem than this. My son went through a brain surgery of non-malignant (thanks to God) tumor when he was six months old. Now he is 3 years old and going to school and doing very well :) :) :) :). Though he has a little weakness on the left side of the face rest he is all fine.
Now as the days are coming closer for immigration process to complete my fear of rejection due to this is getting bigger since we haven't informed this to immigration initially ( since it is not a threat to the community and will not require any extra load on social services benefits).

Glad to know your son is alright. :) And you don't have to worry. But you should not conceal this information.(In case you are worried about it) In fact, if could collate all the documents in regards to the surgery, it may be of use.

Hello everybody.

Although I have not received PER till now, I have just received answer for my email about status of my application. The message is as follows

Dear Sir/Madam:

Please be advised that your application is currently awaiting initial processing. Your application # is E000XXXXXX. Notification will be sent in due course.

My e-cas status is IN PROCESS
We received your application for permanent residence on August 21, 2013.

Has your CC been charged or DD been encashed? It seems that your application will go through. They are currently checking your eligibility, that's my understanding from the email your recieved.

I really doubt the news shared by luckyshyama was authentic... since then he/she simply disappeared.
I think NDVO will follow the same pattern for sending MR mails as they did for AOR !!

You are right Man!!! It is so disappointing not to clarify and replying on his/her MR issue. Because of this pinch of drop so many pages of forum and enthusiasm have been wasted :( :(.

I would say.. things will happen there is no doubt, the big question is ...

WHEN ... n trust me no one, except NDVO or other visa offices (and unfortunately, we have no one on this forum who represents them), on this forum can answer this.. but yes what i firmly believe is it will happen soon and our processing times will be much much faster then those of 2010's applicants...

Now, we can all speculate, apply various permutations and combinations.. its a good thing to pass time and reduce the waiting agony..

Keep an eye out for early May NDVO applicants, when they report their MR and i think things will start to flow then..

But yes, hats off this amazing thread (the admins and the participants).. this has let me keep up reasonable expectations for this entire visa process...

Congrats Kevin...thanks for updating us...Please stick around and share your landing story.
