Hi
This one is a really big issue, but i think if we give a request letter to our bank for some particular transaction, then there should not be any problem,
Everyone who had applied with CC, please consult your bank immediately, because a wrong decision of RBI may spoil your future dream.
Thanks

Banks cannot supersede RBI's mandate; that's for sure. But I do not believe this is going to happen overnight. There was a mandate earlier which required all Indian CCs to be upgraded to CHIP + MAGSTRIP dead-lining July 31....nothing happened. I was in lengthy communication with HDFC over email and constantly inquired if I'm being upgraded to CHIP + MAGSTRIP card....3-n-half months past the RBI's deadline nothing has changed.

@Nizam - Can you provide the source of this info?

Hi

I want to ask you if they check for "Colour Vision Deficiency" too? As I know from my previous medicals (for UK, US visa) I am color deficient.. If they check this in general test, will it impact the processing in any way?

I am colour deficient too.. Seniors is colour vision deficiency become a problem in medicals???? :o

I think you guys are getting more conscious about your medicals. Please keep in mind that medicals are taken to screen if any new immigrant carry such a disease which can be transferred or spread in Canadian society. I don't think so that color deficiency falls into this category.

July-end applicants, did u receive any email from cic or did any of you get back your application?

I'm a 2nd July 2174 applicant, I also did not receive any communication from them. Three days ago I sent an email requesting the status. I'll update once I get any response from them.
I suggest, you also send an email...as it is already more than 10 weeks.

Negative...not a disease...it's a deficiency!

Edit: Glad somebody didn't say he has a receding hairline. ;)

Yes, I fully endorse you

After PR the Canadian will not get the color matching from you or will not ask you that can you see a sparrow or a digit in different colors.

Thanks

Hi, I used to work in a company for more than 8 years, this company phased out four years ago.
If the embassy would do work experience verification (check), I'm afraid that it might find it difficult contacting them as they are no longer there.

Anyone had similar situation?

Please advise.

Hello All:

I am so hoping someone can shed some light on my current situation or in the least, give me some hope and encouragement, as I am started to feel anxious.

My husband and I paid a well known immigration lots of money, a retainer fee, back in June 2013, to file and LMO for my husband in order that he can get a work permit so that he can go work there and take us with him wether at the same time or within a few months after he has settled.

The consultant and his fast talking assistant were very pleasant and kept in touch with us before we signed a contract with them and paid them the retainer fee. Ever since we handed them that money, the communication seemed to dwindle. And that makes me and my husband very angry. We have tried almost every day several times a day to reach the office, as well as the assistant who are supposed to give us update and instructions concerning our case, and they simply won't take our calls or return them. We have been emailing them and even in the past when the assistant emailed back, all she did was babble and give us false hope that our LMO would be sent out soon, and she kept saying that every time. We are honest people and so we hate when ppl are plain deceitful! Has anyone else experienced this and still got them to finish filing the case or is there a way I can complain against the agency and possibly get our money back?? I understand some consultants like to work in their own time and not like to be bothered but this is getting out of hand! Please someone help me on this one! Oh and can someone tell me what are the current processing times for LMO and work permit in Ontario. Thanks
hope its not Y-Axis

This is not a change of name scenario in which you can provide legal documents to prove that name has been changed from old name to new name. This is actually a missing of one part of the name and may become an issue as per my understanding.

One option could to send an explanation letter along with PCC later stating clear reasons of missing of middle name along with the supporting legal documents. You have to double check this with an experienced consultant.

You got a reference letter from a company which doesn't exist, lucky you are. Whoever gave you this reference letter from the company, is it written on company letterhead and with current date? Did s/he mention that company doesn't exist?

If reference letter reflects that company is still working and doesn't clearly state that company has already shut down, it may become a problem if VO come to know about it. I don't think so that they call or send email to all employer, so it depends on you luck.

agmaa, I think there's a missing link here. You've to be specific on what you did and how, then we can surely be of help to you.

If anyone (HR manager, Work supervisor, Boss, etc) from the 'Shut-Down company' have provided the reference letter to you, it should be OK as long as it is verifiable. With verifiable, I mean it carries their signature, email-ID and phone number and probably it's notarized if not on letter-head, which I'm sure it isn't. It doesn't matter if the company is shut-down or transferred or renamed; it can happen with anyone.

CIC will check the authenticity of documents as per their set guidelines; such as letters on letter-heads, documents duly notarized, forms named and signed properly, etc.; they will not do background checks. However, any document found not as per the mandate will be excluded from the application package and the file will be returned as incomplete.
If everything goes fine at CIC, local VO then, if ever needed, will contact the person who provided the letter for verification purposes.

So my question here is, did the letter you sent with application for this 'Shut-Down company' carry any contact detail of the signatory?

Hello Everyone,

My application was returned on 23 October due to CAP filled (NOC 0211). Can anyone tell me how long does it takes to get the application package back?

I will try my luck again next year.

Best of Luck to everyone who are still in queue.

Hi Sinestra, we are fine. Thank you :) :) :)
