To anyone from CPPO visa office living in the US and applied for PCC from the FBI:

Did you get your credit card charged? I submitted mine to FBI on Sept 27, 2013 and there is no response yet. There are a few people in the forum who did earlier than I did. Is there any response from FBI after the shutdown liftoff?

They charged mine pretty late ...mine was charged within 2-3 days of PCC mailing date (~4-5 weeks from application date)

After three replies , I am confused about FSW 1,2 & 3...

Is it related to year of application or type of employment/student?
Is it's later one, then mine is incorrect in profile. I should be FSW1 not 3.
But I thought it is related to timeline and so May2013 applicants are FSW3.

How can I correct?

It is related to the type of program not the date or the time of it.
If you apply as federal skilled worker with no job offer or Phd stream, so you are FSW1.
It was mentioned clearly in the guide.

I don't know how it can affect your application, but unfortunately you can't correct it anyway... you can't do anything than waiting for anything from them.

But all of my job duties are not fitted with NOC's job duties. Around 2 or 3 of them are same. I have worked as a production engineer, but there is several duties for other fields such as drilling, reservoir.

My Advice is...try to match at least 75% of the duties mentioned in NOC. First 2-3 duties are most important. My lawyer suggested that they emphasize more on important duties.

I agree that Petroleum engineer can not have all done in one year job but try to get maximum covered because remember CIC officers are not technical experts in different fields and so they go by comparing the duties. More you keep them comfortable with your write-up you r chances are high. Otherwise you can see many people in this forum having their application returned due to duties not matching with NOC.

Try not to copy paste exact words but capture the essence of the statement in NOC and frame your duty aligned with it.

Don't forget original letterhead, Sign, stamp and business card of person signing it.

In my case, I applied at least a month before the shutdown. But YES, my credit card was charged about a week or two after I sent my finger prints.

How are these calc's done.. I mean what logic brings these numbers?

History of the spreadsheet and cap updates, which lead to these guessings.
This Forum is to help on what's happening.
By regularly checking here you can predict within which specific period of time you can get info about your file, this is what I experienced myself here.

Can you pls confirm for address change or renewed passport documents update, applicant should send a photocopies to LVO mailing mailing address? Or email to LVO would be enough for updates.

That was helpful but what i was trying to calculate was the time between the moment online status shows 'medical received' to the moment passport request is sent. My online status was updated to 'medical request' on 17th oct, 2013 but haven't received passport request yet. But, I noticed that one applicant (vertigoden) got passport request the next day after his online status showed 'medical received'.

This is his post:
"I have done my medicals on Oct 2nd. Doctor's office claimed they have electronically submitted my data on Oct 7th. My ECAS showed Medical received on Monday Oct 14th (they don't show the actual date but I was checking ECAS pretty regularly). I received passport request today, Oct 15th"

Do you know on which date your ECAS said 'medical received'?

23rd Sep .. Medical Done
26th Sep .. Medical report sent to CPPO by the Doctor's office
11th Oct .. Passport Request
14th Oct .. ECAS changed from "In process" to "Decision Made" and had the third line "Medical report received" and 4th line "This office will contact you ...."

I do not know if above can you give you any useful info.

(AS I had mentioned in my previous posts, in my case the E mails came first and the ECAS got updated a couple of days later"!! Also the VOs follow their own procedure. I have seen a post from one member that her/his ECAS changed immediately within a day after submission of Medical report and the applicant is still waiting for passport request)

Also you would have noticed one NDVO application (from Hyderabad in India, I guess) is being processed at CPPO.
With CIC any thing can happen. Unlike previous years, one can hope to get the PR applications submitted under FSW/13 be processed within a year, as per the Canadian Minister's statement.

Is it not possible that on 18th October CIC received 300th application for 0211 NOC and by this time they were processing applications received on 12th July and rest they will process in due course.

Just curious, what happens to the applicants when 300 CAP is reached? will CIC sends those applications back ? will there be a case CIC revises CAP limit based on apps rec'd?

Hello Guys,

I'm from Egypt with almost the same details as MarkOverMars, but i received an email stating that my file has been transferred to Cairo Visa Office.
and they asked me not to inquire on my application & Cairo visa office will reply me within 2 months.

My question here: why some people got their medical request directly with no notification for file transfer ?
Does this mean that application will be rejected, that's why i didn't hear anything from them for almost 1 month ?!

I'm worried and need u guys to share any info about cases like me if you have.
