I am wondering how would the next FSW year would be? for those missed, late in applying this year, can they try it next year?

Hi, actually it is not clear. maybe CIC announces new jobs for next year like what they did this year. We should wait and see.

Actually, many of us are expecting significant changes. It's quite possible that as of next year, Canada is going to apply an EOI-based approach similar to Australia's. You can read more about this in the following CIC bulletin:

"Regulation 12 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations states that if certain requirements are not met, the application and all documents submitted in support of the application shall be returned to the applicant. A review of your application has indicated that your submission has failed to meet these requirements"

Can someone please help me with understanding why my application was returned??

It's impossible to say until you receive the full refusal details from CIC.

yes you can as long as you provide a experience letter for one year or more citing your job duties that are similar to the duties under NOC 2145.


I am an architect and i applied under occupation of "civil engineers" as i am working as construction project engineer... The good news are that "petroleum engineer" is one if the occupation that will be available for a long time and maybe it won't reach the 300 cap even.

Hello, What do people on forum think are chances for applications sent in October under NOC which are almost at 200 now (2131, 2132, 3142)...???

Assuming July 3rd week or July end are getting PER now (which is 2.5 -2.75 months from quota start, 4th May) and definitely there should be some time between appl approved and PER been sent (say 5 working days).. my vague assumption is until July end are already processed and should be getting PER very soon if not already got.

With that calc, in another 2 months of July application sent date (which is Sept end) these NOC's should hit the cap. So does it leave some room for Oct applications.

What do u people think?

They will not respond to any update. This is part of one of the emails that LVO sent me ...

"Also note that we will not confirm receipt of fax/ mail/ email received at this office but your file will be updated."

Hope this helps.

Oh, so LVO has its own standards …. By the way I cannot think of any logical reason for not confirming the receipts.

You can qualify with a related diploma, but you can't qualify without minimum one year work experience in the last 10 years...

You mean the work experience is more important than my Diploma?

Don't loose faith kanan. God has a better plan for your life now.

You will have better luck in 2014. Just be prepared for it when it comes.
