my application for noc 2131 was received at nova scotia on sept 06, 2013. current cap update is 180 as at 18/10/2013. any hope for me?

There are chances you may be within cap although they are still treating 3rd week of July. Let's see what happens within the week.

Compare your job duties for that one year in Petroleum industry to job duties described in Canadian NOC for 2145 (Petroleum Engineers) and 2134 (Chemical Engineers). See in which job you can fit better...
it's just my opinion... you can wait other opinions as well...

I have a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Eng, Masters in Polymer and one year work experience in Petroleum industry. So do I have this option to apply as a Petroleum Eng rather than Chemical Eng. ?

Do CIC keeps the record of returned file application? i am planning to apply in another NOC from same organisation referral letter? they did not mention any application or file number on my returned Documents? actually i have the experience on another NOC.

You said that you have calculated 68 points for your file... Try to recalculate to be sure that you receive points to all requested work experience domains, (Skill Type 0, Level A, Level B jobs), all the Experience Letters contain detailed description of job duties or other factors. In some cases, CIC doesn't provide points for all requested factors ...
Anyway, your file is complete, due to the fact that your money were charged.

i have to apply PCC in india. for past 5 years i m staying in different state (Maharashtra) than my native place (Tamilnadu). Where i have to apply for PCC.. is it tamilnadu or maharashtra..

even in maharashtra i stayed in different places, i have documentary evidence of stay for past 2.5 yrs only. is this necessary to show documentary evidence for stay..

in tamilnadu also after 18 yrs of age, i stayed in different districts. do we need to show any documents for that..

i really dont have clear picture about PCC.. what it is and what it says..

Your job experience is more important and I think you should apply under PETROLEUM engineering if your job duties are close to that field.

Hi, Did CIC provide you with UCI number/file number, and gave a letter mentioning reason of return as incomplete app?

There are cases where CC is charged and then the Application rejected by CIO because of 66 points.

Just to inform everyone that my application was refused due to points 66 only. My 2 years experience was not considered due to duties not mentioned in employment certificate and I only attached testimonial from dept head.. Thanks admins and all forum members for unwavering supports to each of everyone. Guys what would you suggest if I will resubmit my new application end of october for noc 2131 do I have any chance to reach the cap?

I may be first to get NER from CIC.

Reason: i was assigned 9 points for my 1 year of full-time work experience, or the equivalent in part-time work, within the 10 years before the date on which my application was made in accordance with R 80 of IRPA. Points were assigned for me work experience as a Senior Software Engineer with XYZ company from July 2011 to January 19, 2013. No points were assigned for any other employment because the main duties of my work experience were not listed in the employers letters. Self-declared main duties or affidavits are not acceptable evidence of work experience.

i got only one job desc letter from one company and others had refused to give me. so, i sent affidavits. So, my points are 66 now.

Yes..i do have have an UCI Number as i was in canada 4 years before so my UCI is same as before when i was in canada. but they did not gave me any application number or file number on my return application.Yes they did sent me an letter for reason of return with complete file.
