Hello, My application was receive on 23rd May 2013 for 0211 and i receiver first acknowledgement on 7th August 2013.
No emails/ message I have received so far... what shall I expect? Are they doing anything with 0211 NOC at CPP-O????

Hi Forumites,

Do you have any idea how they count your age while awarding the points for age? For example, I turned completed my 36 years in may 25 and I am running in 37. Moreover, I submitted my applications in august. Is it 36 years or 37 years? Just need your opinions.

Yes, I am applying this year under NOC 2147.

I added my details using the link provided by lamia, however I am not seeing it when I look at the spreadsheet. Can you please check and let me know if it is there?

Its been 8 months since i started working on for applying for this. Its been close to 2 1/2 months since receiving the PER and 1 month since receiving AOR. Vow this seems like i have been involved in this for a whole life time.. Never ever experienced such a waiting agony.. Its really strange and hard to believe why it take so long to send the MR from NDVO. We have already send all the required doc, WES Certificates have provide the authenticity of educational credentials, original bank statements have been sent.

I might be a bit over reacting here, but this waiting period is just not good..

You are right, the wait is causing lot of agony to most of us. The issue is that it is not like any other wait. Migration is like uprooting yourself, your family, your house, your job, your friends, relatives, place, ..and replanting self n family again to a completely new environment. In the process, we have, in anticipation of the big move, put most of the ongoing happenings in life on hold. This "pause" button is causing major anxiety as everything seems to be halted and awaiting signals from CIC/VO to give us indicator on how we should plan out our activities from now on - and they are not helping in anyway at the moment.

However, there are few ways to reduce the agony caused by this wait. Keep hopes high, keep your dream alive and know the price to be paid. It is going to be a long drawn battle as it does not end with PR. Most of us are not dreaming just about "landing" on Canada soil. Most are striving for a dream job, a dream house with all other basic stuff like car n all to get to a normal life in Canada. That will be another struggle in its own ways. So, hang on and go through the ride. And know that it'll be all WORTH it ..else all past immigrants would have left Canada by now :)

Enjoy

Hi Rawdah,

Kindly update (row # 312): Fee en-cashed date is September 17, 2013.

Thanks
RC

I guess frequently visiting to check MR (NDVO)posts is not helping the situation. I going to stop vising the forum untill (NOV 1st)or some one get MR from NDVO.

Weird situation friends, I want your opinion.

I in USA on H1B Visa for last 6 years and currently my 7th year H1B Extension is in process.
My I-94 is expired.
I have 2 year visitor visa for Canada valid till 2015.

For FSW 2013, I have completed MR, PCC from india and paid the Permanent Residency fees
But my FBI PCC is stuck due to government shutdown in USA.

Now my H1B extension got Request for Evidence and there is 50-50% chance that my extension request will be denied.
If my extension is denied then I will need to leave USA around end of Nov 2013. I am trying to prepare for that condition so that i am ready when time comes.

Assuming that shutdown is completed in USA, FBI will provide me PCC and I will send it to CIC. Once I provide FBI PCC, I am assuming that I will get passport request shortly.

1) Should I move back to India and then send my passport through relative to Canada or post? Get it stamped and then enter Canada.
a) Not sure if i can send my passport to CPP-O from india
b) will be very expensive to travel and living expense as i have to setup my house for 3-4 month
2) Resign from my job as soon as extension is denied and move to Canada on my visitor's visa
a) Not sure I can do that as I might have not received passport request or I-94 is expired.
b) If i have received passport request, can I submit my passport within Canada?
c) Will immigration department at entry point can raise/refuse entry if they notice my luggage (TV and big bags etc)
d) Can I search jobs while on visitor's visa but join after PR is received? I have saving up to 6 months and I don't want to do an illegal job.

Appreciate your help in advance.
Thanks,
Jigs

Dear Jigs,

If you have only these two options, I wd recommend to go with No.2. Once you move back to India, the travel is stamped and sending PP by post n all is not a legal/official procedure. Hence, not worth the risk in the last step of this long drawn process. See, you have already reached the end of the long wait, I'd not risk it for other inconveniences mentioned in #2. Option #2 looks more clean and worth going for. And you are right, USA may not extend your H1B in to 7th year (unless you have some travel gaps, reducing your actual stay in USA to less than 6 years). I know so many of my friends who had to return to their country for one year once 6 year stay on H1B was over.

Finally, listen to recommendations, but do what your heart says.

For age, all over the world, it is always what you completed. What is your running year is not your age. So in your case, you are 36 year old guy.

Yes, one good idea to reduce the "wait" stress. Take your mind and attentions somewhere else (not that easy though :), but will help immensely). And just think about the pleasant surprise you might get when you return to forum and see many MRs from NDVO in the mean time and yours just around the corner :) :) .. though keep your part active - I mean the PCC and other stuff to be ready for the MR step... all the best

My application was received on July 5, 2013. Credit card has not been charged yet and according to the FSW tracker, processing for July 8 apps have already started.

Is there an easy way I can find out online if my application was rejected?
