Can you remember when you submitted the Schedule 3 form was it the one dated May 2013 or the new July one? I have submitted the May 2013 one and sent it 1st July but didn't arrive at NS until 15th July and I've just seen another member on the forum has had their application rejected as it was on the old form even though it got there 5th July.

Your answer would be greatly appreciated.

My daughter's passport is about to expire on 27th July 2014. Due to intense khujli (hindi slang for unwanted desire to do stuff that is not necessary), I thought of getting it renewed and I have received an appointment for 3rd October.

I was wondering, if it is really necessary for me to go ahead with this process. If I do, what do I need to do, keep in mind that I don't have AOR issued to me yet.

If anyone could let me know the process required to be followed for notifying VO of Passport change before and after AOR stage, I will be grateful.

I will not advice you to send the passport for renewal, because of 2 reasons
1. If you get passport request from CIC then it will be available with you to send it immidiatly.
2. July 2014 is still enough time and i thnk since you have recived PER already it should be quick to get MR and Passport ..

PR visa which comes of passport is only for entry into canada..you get a PR card then onward to use for your trips to/from canada.
If you think its going to be quick passport renewal then i would suggest go ahead get it renewed.

Just an advice, because my passport is also expiring same time next year and i was thinking to send for renew in indian consulate in usa but thank god i ddnt sent it..
you never know what time take for renewal..

It is IMM 0008 (05-2013) E

My application received dated 05th July 2013. On CIC website, it still have the same form (05-2013).

Which Schedule 3 form was it? I ask this as my app was sent 1st July and got to Canada 15th July so I think I've enclosed the wrong form aswell. Mine had May 2013 on it and was not the update one with July 2013 - is this the same for you?

My consulatant sent me an email saying that my application package has been returned due to incorrect Schedule 3 form . My package was initially received on 3rd July. Later on I realised that incorrect form has been filled . I called up CIC and spoke to the lady who said that since I have not been allocated a UCI number , it is okay to fill the correct form and send it. I did this on 9th Sept by courier. Form received on 11th Sept by CIC.

The package has been sent back with the letter dated 20th Sept.

Any advise by forum members. My NOC is 2132.

Last Date to submit the above requested : Nov. 20th

Now we are in a shutdown mode and the whole process of Criminal History Summary Check or the Police Certificate by FBI is currently on hold. I was wondering if other folks dealing with CPP-O are feeling the heat. The FBI takes 6 weeks to send a Police report. There is no way I can send the same to CPP-O if the shutdown goes on for another few weeks.

Wondering if the CPP-O would understand whats going on with their neighbor. Any Views or pointers ?

I am facing a similar issue. I changed my kid's name recently and applied for her passport last Friday. CPP-O asked the kid's passport copies in 30 days. I applied in expedited processing and because of this recent shut down, not sure whether the passport processing gets affected or not. It usually takes 3 weeks to get the passport with expedited processing. And only when I get the passport for her, we can go for medicals, else it will be just me and my wife's medicals excluding the kid's. Bad timing for a shutdown!!!
