Hi Manish, Congrats on the good news. I was wondering what is the landing process for people who are already in Canada. Thanks

CONGRATS Manishsb
Being in this forum since those early days and now seeing one of us who is sending his passport for visa is really making me feel so HAPPY.
I hope all who are waiting for their turns or already received their PER or AOR to reach Manishsb's status soon.
Good Luck for all

My passport is received by CIC yesterday and my ecas status says..
"A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision."

Waiting for CIC to get back to me on some email or some kind of communications.
Congrats Manish,

Not trying to rude or insensitive as this is moment of happiness but this ECAS status is for requesting your passport but they have updated it late on site. They only request passport when visa is granted (speaking from my experience with them on visitor visa earlier this year) .

CIC has received my medical, Indian PCC, RPRF fees on Friday.
I have written a small explanation mail indicating that I have started FBI PCC on 09/01 and may not be able to submit it in 30 days as their processing time is 6-8 weeks. My lawyers believe that should be enough.

I will be curious on how much time they take to return your passport, they took 4 weeks for returning mine for visitor visa stamping and mine was within USA consulate.

Again congrats.
Jigs.

Hi Seniors/Admins,
Congrats to those with Fee encashed/PER/MR. Need your thoughts, my application according to my consultant was delivered on 18th June, still I have not seen any charge on my cc, call center says no info on applications outside Canada. Not sure what is happening, any ideas

thanks

Hard to say my friend but June 18th application should have been charged or assessed by now. I guess may be wait for another week max before thinking the unthinkable :(

Hello,

when you access the fee payment form, fill in the relevant section as it affects you.
If you are making a card payment as is your case, fill the section for payment with card.

Goodluck

the last update has brought headache and near depression. NoC3142 is galloping at an average of 22 per week, my chances of being within the CAP is extreme slim , if at all. Should I still go ahead and send my application? if not , please what other options do I have please.

My take is that if we look at the present CAP update of 143 then it took just under 5 months to get these 143 applications, which includes the initial rush for FSWP 2013 after the pause. So, i think the chances are still there (though not super bright!!).The initial May June rush should have subsided by now. Also that 20 odd applications per week is more because of apparent lack of action at 3142 in the initial days.

My suggestion : Send your application. Risk vs reward ratio is good, if not great :).

Hi All,

With grace of God and lots of luck I got my UCl number...for tracking purpose I applied under 2147 code and my application received date is 4th July 2013.

Thanks a lot for all forums members and experts to keep my morale high and make me think positive...I know I have just managed to fit in the last lot...a borderline case... :o.....waiting for the next steps... :-X.....

If i was you mate i wouldn't celebrate till i atleast have a PER mail. As you can read through, going by some of the recent examples even CC charged is not guarantee to PER. Without sounding too negative we even had a case in 3142 where an applicant got PER and then rejected from the local visa office because apparently they thought his points dont add up. So... go easy at this stage dude!! ;)
Goodluck

Dont read this with negative frame of mind : this is just for knowledge -

just by getting UCI doesn't guarantee an approval or AOR/PER - VO designated to handle a specific category of file does re-evaluate the file with local investigation skills and knowledge thereby applying points based on how genuine is education claimed for - work experience claimed for - there is lot of checks that undergo before its determined an applicant qualify -- Post which celebration can be done :)

Yes you have to send uk pcc and arrange it b4 they will ask. I received my pcc from uk last month and it took me 3 weeks time. So apply now

In addition to what my fellow forum members have already opined regarding PCC, you will need to do that of the UK since you lived in the UK for 5 years after you have attained 18.

However, UK police report has a 3 month validity period (I stand to be corrected though), and if this is the case, it might be better to play with time a bit until you are asked to produce it. Reason being that if you get it ready now but it's demanded after 3 months of getting it, you will have to do it again.
When it is needed you can pay for the premium service which takes 2-3 working days for UK residents unlike the standard one that takes 10 working days.

I'm waiting for them to ask me for PCC then I will pay for the express service. It's your call at the end of the day to decide on the best option.

Good luck.

Buddy

Check validity on official website of UK acro.

http://www.acro.police.uk/Police_Certificates_FAQs.aspx#How_long_is_my_Police_Certificate_valid_for?

How long is my Police Certificate valid for?

There is no set period of time for which the Police Certificate is considered to be valid. The Police Certificate is only truly accurate on the date of issue. Embassies or High Commissions will usually require you to produce a Police Certificate which has been issued less than six (6) months before your visa interview.

i feel someone saying my cc got charged and then i was rejected because of non recognized institution is just making us fool..the reasons are

1) you get wes report before you apply for cic, if wes has return your education is not from recognized institution ,why u send it to cic.
2) you are not in spreadsheet and suddenly u say my cc was charged one month back..why u did contact cic earlier?

i think it is just a way to discourage ...
anyway its my opinion..that we should not take this msg seriously

anyone from 3142 need not worry at current stage as cap is just showing 143 means not even half the number..initial rush is gone so there is lot of hope still.

2nd there is wrong information that u dont get job there if u dont have canadian experience..if u clear pce then u will get job easily..so think positive
