I am also sailing in the same boat. Got my UCI number. Also, I have asked my consultant to put a mail to CIC asking the staus.
Have u put the mail to CIC?

dont worry guys. if ur ecas status show that application is in process, then thats good news. u ll get PER very shortly or just check ur spam..... things r fine.

CIO is working today on Saturday. Few minutes back at 7:30 PM Indian Time. I got reply for email i sent on 27 Aug which is below.



Good Morning.


I can currently find no record of your submission being received by our office. Please note: it can take upwards of 10 to 12 weeks for the record to be created. You file maybe in queue for initial processing.

If all your documents are in place already (there are high chances of which as CIC-NS would have already scanned thorough your document completeness), they'll simply jump to MR, update POF (optional), then Passport and you'll be set.
Fewer are chances where VO might want you to visit in-person for an interview and show original docs. Or if they want to cross verify some part of your credentials will they be asking for some document.

I have sent all of my documents without police clearance certificate. Will they seek this (PC) during MR or before that? One more thing about POF, I am not maintaining the amount that I have shown during my application. I have withdrawn maximum amount from my account after few days of application. Is it necessary to maintain the whole amount through out the process, as you are saying that they may seek my statement. The amount which i have shown is mine but not in my account right now. I have involved those in my uncle's business. I am expecting your/other senior members valuable suggestions in this regard.

though I am drunk right now, I can say that you are safe if you have a PER. Do you have it? BTW, PCC is not mandatory in the beginning. Your local VO will demand PCC and I don't think that they will validate the POF at that time. Even I have done what you have done. ;D

What you need to worry about is the call from VO to your ex / present employers. I am worried about it coz, they have no clue what to say when there is a verification call. I know this coz, I have called them myself.

Thanks for your reply.Yes I get PER. However I am not worried in this regard as my employer have written the task that I am doing right now & which belongs to my NOC. Would you please clear me your case I mean what VO may seek if they call to my employer.

I e-mailed CIC before obtaining UCI on the 6th of September with last name,first name,DOB and country of birth.I have obtained UCI now.Should I e-mail them again or wait for the reply of the first e-mail?Thanks.

I called CIC for UCI number. But they are unable to give me UCI number. They asked me whether I live in Canada. But i resides in Dhaka.
My dd en-cashed at mid of August. Can u tell me the procedure for getting UCI number?

So sorry to hear about that. Can u please put the letter or E mail here?? Because as far as I know, 2263, does not require any particular Educational degree. ONly specific experience is required.

AS for 2263,

"In some establishments, several years of related work experience and the completion of in-house training courses may substitute for formal education."

You can reapply, if you qualify somehow with regard to points attained.

Please quote the exact wording in the letter/email u have received.

Dear Friends today i got NER from CIC,Novascotia They wrote me that i forgot to attach checklist but it was there not at the beginning of my application which was placed at the bottom of all documents and the second reason is that at the time of application i was 35 years 2 months they gave just 11 points but i thought it was 12.finally they wrote me that my education is masters degree in science in Physics and Chemistry but my qualification doesnot match 2263 NOc
