Hi,

I applied for FSW visa back in 2011 and received an acknowledgement on May 31, 2011. I'm from Pakistan and my V.O is London. The L.V.O requested the medicals sometime at the end of year 2011 and asked to pay the RPRF as well. Later they requested the updated police certificates in July 2012 and asked to fill out the new IMM0008 forms. We submitted everything as requested by the L.V.O. After that there was a complete silence for few months so I got concerned and tried to inquire about my application status couple of times and each time I received the same reply that background checks are outstanding. Now last month in August 2013 we again received a request to go through the medicals for the second time and they asked us to send the latest police certificates for the third time. The V.O has received the Medical reports and latest Police certificates this week. Now, I need to know what is going to be the next step and how long it will take to get the PPR ?? Thanks.

I have 3 Years B.Sc honr's degree in Geology
1 Year Master Degree in Geology
Altogether its 16 years of education

Would any please tell me under new rule how much point i will be given?

Is there gonna be any FSW for 2014, there is a rumour that this could be the last of this program to be replaced by "Expression of Interest" early 2015.Could anyone correct me or confirm this for me.

We need to know what country you have done your degree from. Also, you can do a free degree verification check (unofficial) from WES site (they offer it hoping that their unofficial degree equivalency check will make you wanna go for the official check eventually, so its free). Here it is:

Yes Mdharis is correct. They are introducing Express Of Interest where in Applications need to submit the application to CIC and their profiles will be updated in a Data Base. Then employers from all over Canada will hire respective applicant as per their requirement and in the next stage they will issue a letter which you need to submit with CIC and your PR will be processed. It is almost updated version of permanent job offer from a Canadian employer PR Category.

I don't know how long to wait. Bored with it. And I am counting days from 4th of July (CIC received my application). My NOC is 3142. 103 reached to date according to CIC cap update. Is there any hope for me.. Pls give me hope....
