Just checked on weibo (similar to twitter in china), one agent said their client, 2174, send on 5/9, get his PER on 7/4, and get email from HK vo today requesting sending passport! Not sure timeline of ME.

I did mine with WES and they were very quick. Once they had all documents it took them 2 weeks, and a few days to receive it (3 weeks in total, a month at the most I would imagine). However, I didn't send off my application until June so cant comment if it was quick had I applied in April when WES was included, to reach Mays intake.

I told her that I dont have any info since I sent my application on 15th Aug. She told me not to worry, you will have something by 20th Sep 2013, as they need to complete all applications received till 31st August by 30th September.

I heard from one of the agents that After 30th Sep, CIC is going to have a mid year review, as this is a new process this year. This review will include the CAP Status as on 30th Sep 2013, back logs, pendency etc and their updated targets for 31st March 2013. He was telling me that this happens every year. So during this review they can take any decision ranging for completion times to increasing the Cap Size for categories where no. of applicants is high, though overall maintaining the 5000 limit, as some Occupations have very few applicants. He meant to say that they can review and revise anything as this review team will include the Minister, Mr Kenney. So some new announcements may come after this review.

Subodh, what to expect on 30th? and August applications will be completed for what? stage 1 you mean?

ok so people who have applied in the early may had assess their credentials from WES. in those days WES had a quick service which was three days i think. and people were able to get their report in 10-15 days, i did my ECA from WES and got in 20 days while they have terminated that rush service and only 7-day service was available. You were suppose to assesss your credentials from WES they are so quick.

I did my assessment on August from WES.. I send the application on 9-August and they received it on 12-August. Finished assessment on 14-Aug and I received the ECA report back on my hand on 16-Aug. So the overall time is just 7 days (inculding sending and receiving date).

Thanks. Maybe i understand something wrong, but to get Credential Assessment Report took some time, so how people applied on May 8? While 19 April was the day to know which companies will do the assessment. I am sorry but i am not sure that spreadsheed information is correct one? Please if i am wrong someone explaine this point.

It is possible. It was a calculated risk for some of us who envisioned that organizations like WES and ICAS would definitely be selected for ECAs as they are reputed, old and well known. I had personally completed my ECA evaluations from both ICAS and WES in January itself. But later found out that ICAS had completely changed its procedure for ECA evaluations in terms of getting documents officially issued and sent directly to ICAS as well as the time frame was largely increased for FSWP assessments

In my case for example, I had previously checked the country requirements for my degree and already requested official transcripts etc. As soon as the list was released on I think 19/20 April, made sure the docs were sent through courier and selected the 7 day urgent service along with extra payment for international courier express return. So, I had my ECA with me on the 6 May. It just required an educated guess, luck to run in your favor (the agencies I was guessing and counting on were nominated) and advanced preparedness.

You also have to keep in mind that not all people required ECAs as many had Canadian credentials which are exempt from ECA requirement.

Ok, important is all was fine in my case with time, i just upgarded my ICAS report. I am sure there are other people like me, we just now join this chat so spreadsheet is not completely accurate. Just can anyone say what to do now? Since PER i didn't get any news, e-mails....Should i call visa office?
