CIC Website says that Updated CAP (1399) is for Applications clearing STAGE 1, COMPLETENESS CHECK, as on 3rd Sep 2013. So these 1399 applications include applications received by CIC since May 3 2013 till 3rd Sep/2nd sep 2013 and have passed STAGE 1. Out of these (say applications received on 8th may), many would have been sent to VO for further processing, some may have been charged, for some PER is issued, and for some (say received in August 2013) they have just passed Completeness check. So this number can get reduced if applications are returned/rejected due to incomplete cause, as pointed out by a forum member above.

SO, this update is not till July, but till 3rd/2ND SEP 2013

if we assume that given statement is true, that means application checked (Stage 1 completed) is for till June end or may be 1st week of July applied applicants.
and they are waiting for PER / payment encashment but are safe as they are under cap ??

Yes, if your application had passed the Completeness Stage (STAGE1) SUCCESSFULLY, and CAP was not filled on the day your application passed STAGE1. STAGE 1(COMPLETENES CHECK) is generally completed within 3-4 business days after your application is received at CIC , SYDNEY.

so in that case even if the cap is filled there are chances of getting the PER on condition that if our application is complete

Even Basic info like...
1. NOC
2. Visa Office
3. App received date
4. PER received dateshall be enough..
Let me give steps on how to update for ease of all..
1. Go to profile section on top right of the forum
2. Go to "Forum Profile Information" under " Modify Profile" on the Left side panel
3. Scroll down and update Visa Office, NOC Code, App Filed (mention App filed date and PER date here if received)
4. Hit "Change Profile" to save
Advice: Leave everything else blank as it un-necessarily takes up page when you post something and everyone needs to scroll down to see next post (if you are browsing via smartphone or tablets).

just a general out of topic question
I was checking regarding Australia also and found out that the ielts required for EOI we need band 7 in all the four parts of ielts test
I think I missed it as I have
OVERALL 7.5
Listening 7.5
Reading 8.0
Writing 6.5
Speaking 7.0

so I order to qualify I will have to go for the retest rite?
also I heard they take average of the two tests if taken within 2 years time

I was charged $1400 as I had my spouse and two children accompanying me as dependents on my application. I guess they made a mistake in your application either by thinking that you dependents are not accompanying you or you might have unknowingly filled in wrongly in the forms. In either case, you need to contact your Local VO as you have already received your PER with a cover letter stating that your only $550 was charged on your cc and you wish pay for the remaining dependents. Please attach another payment form stating the appropriate amount for the dependents.

I have one query.

I have already received PER. It has been issued on my name as i am principle applicant. Other two applicants are my wife and my child in same application, but PER does not cover their names.

My mode of fee payment was Bank cheque (i.e. Demand draft) for Can $ 1250 ( C$ 550 +C$ 550 + C$ 150). The issued PER has mentioned a receipt number and it is for C$ 550 only. I understand it explains receipt for my fee only.

My query is "Is it a normal scenario ? What is the scenario with others who has family members ? Are they later (from local visa office) provide fee receipt for secondary applicants ?"

I have already mailed to CIO, NS asking explanation regarding matter.

YES, NOW YOU GOT IT. SO IF YOUR FILE CROSSED STAGE 1 COMPLETENESS CHECK YOU ARE ONE OUT OF 179 MEMBERS UNDER NOC 2147. ONLY WORRY IS THAT IT SHOULD NOT GET REJECTED IN ELIGIBILITY STAGE 3.

THIS ALSO EXPLAINS THAT EVEN IF UCI IS ALLOTTED, FILE CAN GET REJECTED IN STAGE 3, AS UCI IS ALLOCATED AFTER CLEARING STAGE 1.
