Would it be a good idea for me to email Canada visa office Manila if my file is already there? :

Hi guys,

According to the statistic, in the round of 7/16 & 8/19, the number of applicants in the category of 2145 &2146 decreased by 1. Why would this happen? Does that mean CIC only counts the applicants who passed the complete check rather than those got charged or PER? Because perhaps these people's application was returned?

Let me give steps on how to update for ease of all..

1. Go to profile section on top right of the forum
2. Go to "Forum Profile Information" under " Modify Profile" on the Left side panel
3. Scroll down and update Visa Office, NOC Code, App Filed (mention App filed date and PER date here if received)
4. Hit "Change Profile" to save

Advice: Leave everything else blank as it un-necessarily takes up page when you post something and everyone needs to scroll down to see next post (if you are browsing via smartphone or tablets).

Thank you hassanwiz but I want to see my official PER.

I am hesitant to ask to admins to update my file, I do not have DD encash date.

CIC replied to my 1st enquiry after 26 days, so maybe I will expect them to send that Aug 12 mail around Sept 16. I did reply same they I received the Aug 16 email.

Exactly. Check my posts since yesterday. Decrease is because, those applications might have got rejected in STAGE 3 (Eligibility Check). So it is very clear that CAP ON WEBSITE Is updated based on Applications clearing STAGE 1 (COMPLETENESS CHECK BY CIC, SYDNEY), and it takes 2-3 business days to check that after application is received at CIC Sydney. So updated CAP is as on 3rd SEP 2013, as mentioned on CIC Website CAP UPDATED PAGE.

SO CC/DD CHARGING OR PER ISSUE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH CAP UPDATED ON CIC WEBSITE PAGE.

PER is issued only after STEP 3 (ELIGIBILITY REVIEW) in the FSW2174's post below. But CAP is updated on CIC Website after STAGE 1 (Completeness Check by CIC, Sydney). So as per cic website, the page has been modified on 3rd Sep 2013.

SO as on 3rd Sep 2013, 1399 Application received have passed the STAGE 1 "Completeness Check by CIC, Sydney".
Hence out of these 1399, some may have been charged and PER issued, some may have been only charged, some may neither have been charged nor PER issued, but certainly all these 1399, have passed the STAGE 1 "Completeness Check by CIC, Sydney".

Also on CAP Update page, CIC has a put a note:

"Note: Due to the large number of applications we get, we cannot check that each one is complete on the same day it gets to the office."

Dear Subodh,

if we assume that given statement is true, that means application checked (Stage 1 completed) is for till June end or may be 1st week of July applied applicants.
and they are waiting for PER / payment encashment but are safe as they are under cap ??

Am i assuming right ?
