Hi All Forumites... May I request you to update your profile on the forum as it starts showing up (on the left hand side of your post under your name) whenever a post is made and it becomes easy to refer to in case there is a discussion going on on NOC, PER, File received dates etc (which is the case most of the times)...

I know it shall take 5 minutes of time but will immensely benefit as every time referring to spreadsheet to look up details of a particular member in case he/she needs advice may not be practical for all .....

Even Basic info like...

1. NOC
2. Visa Office
3. App received date
4. PER received date

shall be enough..

Let me give steps on how to update for ease of all..

1. Go to profile section on top right of the forum
2. Go to "Forum Profile Information" under " Modify Profile" on the Left side panel
3. Scroll down and update Visa Office, NOC Code, App Filed (mention App filed date and PER date here if received)
4. Hit "Change Profile" to save

Advice: Leave everything else blank as it un-necessarily takes up page when you post something and everyone needs to scroll down to see next post (if you are browsing via smartphone or tablets).

Hi Hassan,

The new form wasn't available in July. I sent my application on 18th July and before sending I checked if any of the forms has been updated. Also the CIC page that contains application forms was updated in August as shown on the bottom right of the page.

Thanks for the update. So we can assume that if this person has sent his forms prior to 15 August (including signed forms indicating the same date), then it should be accepted.....What say?

Please check if any of the forms you sent previously, have been updated here:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/skilled.asp

If so, fill those particular forms as well, gather new bank letters/statements (POF) and Vroommmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!! Hope you get your PER

We submitted our application on 16th May and received letter today. No UCI number is mentioned on the forms.

Yes... They are not assiging UCI on first stage of Document check... as this was return in first stage only so no UCI... Send again ASAP..

I guess it is like almost 3 months old statement and your new application will be treated as fresh, so better to send new ones......

dear.. it is already 3 months older and if you send it again than it is almost 5 to 6 month old when CIC will start work on your file.... SO updated one is advisable...

Dear members,
I have a query regarding my friend.He had applied under NOC 2132 and his file was received on 12th August by Dexter.Now the issue is that he used old Generic application form (IMM 0008 (04-2013)E) instead of using new Generic application form (IMM 0008 (07-2013)E) which was updated in july.Although there is a minor change in footer of new Generic application form still he wants to send new one to be on safer side.What should he do i.e to use cover letter mentioning his personal details etc or write details outside envelop so that CIC people would be able to attach new generic application form with his application. Urgent feedback is awaited.

As correctly pointed out by vivesehg, the forms page on CIC website shows that page was modified or updated on 15 August and your friend's application was received on 12 August. I guess its safe then. Even then if he thinks he wants to send the new form, its up to him....

I am totally confused just checked today did not notice till now
there is an updated form for generic application form IM0008ENU_2D which was updated in somewhere July 2013
I sent my application on 2nd July 2013 till that time there was no update only the april 2013 form was available
Also the date I mentioned in my application is 1st of july 2013
should I mail new completed form again to cic with cover letter?

I think you do not need to worry. As pointed out by vivesehg, the forms page was updated on 15 August 2013. Chill!!!!!!

You have hit it on the head !! But just take into consideration that they want to wrap up this program by April 2014 so that they can launch the grand EOI model (like that of Australia) ! So I think that expecting medicals in the next six months for May applicants may be realistic!

I agree...and even if you see timeline for 2011 applicants you will find many got PR with in a year.In 3142 category I personally know 4 persons who applied in feb/mar 2012 and got PR in December 2012..
