It is usually recommended to contact CIC when 8-10 weeks have passed and you have not heard. Try call next week.

Hi

Please call on this number: 001 613 9 444 000. This is the number for Foreign Affairs, Trade & Canada. Then as follows:

01. Dial 1

02. You will get two options. Dont select anything and wait for about 5 seconds . It will then automatically say that listen carefully as options have changed. Then select 2.

03. Dial 1


04. Dial 2

05. Dial 1

06. It will ask you to enter 8 digit UCI number. But since you don't have this number, don't dial anything and wait. It will ask you 3 times to enter UCI number. Then it will say that it is transferring call to Call center agent.

07. When you speak to the call center agent, tell them that you have sent an application for FSW 2013 and would like to request status of your application. They will ask you your SURNAME, GIVEN NAMES, DOB and COUNTRY OF BIRTH. Then if there is a UCI number for you they will ask you to note it down.

08. You can then login at: https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/authenticate.do?app= and enter your UCI number and details and track your application.

No. There won't be any problem. You have sent an application and it is your right to request an update. If they don't have a UCI or an update, they will just inform you and that's it. Nothing to worry.

why did they return ur application back.did u recieve it and did they assign u a UCI number in ur rejection letter.

When they returned my application, the UCI number was handwritten in red ink on the Generic Form of my application.

In my humble opinion,

Once you get the PER, and ur file is transferred, it sits there for somewhat 6 months, Then they add a line in ur ecas which states that they have started processing you application. ( this is where ur file is opened by the officer at VO) ( again my experience not necessarily will imply on u. )
In the 6 months gap even if you don't have the amount, it wont be a problem, ( Like I don't have mine now)
But once you are close to 6 months keep the money, so that if they ask you can show it to them.
Once again, it is my humble opinion, and this is what i have learnt and this is the same path I am gonna follow.
Others may differ and its their experience. ( their experiences and thoughts are more than welcome.)
So please do what suits you best

HI Friends need help,

Wants to know the bank statement which we showed at the time of sending file in july , the money in it( in bank), we have to preserve it there in it or we have to show it only for a day till we get statement and then withdraw and can use ???

Bcoz i showed only 4K CAD and mu consultant told me there is no problem, rest we will show at NDVO, but i am very tensed and to send new statement, i don't have 11k CAD with me.
If i borrow for someone for 2-3 days that i can do but will it work.

Please help me...

IS IT REQUIRED TO KEEP FUND IN BANK UNTILL WE GET THE VISA
OR IS IT REQUIRED TO KEEP UNTIL I ISSUE THE BANK STATEMENT
