i think school leaving certificate (as proof of education) would be class 12 cert whereas the DOB is mentioned on class 10 certificate . i dont recall them asking for 10th certificate as proof of education.

what i cant understand is how come they chose to accept affidavit instead of other good evidences (PAN, AAdhar, DL etc etc) when infact making affidavit is actually the easiest of all documents . ;D ;D

02. Quoting from wikipedia:

"An affidavit is a written sworn statement of fact voluntarily made by an affiant or deponent under an oath or affirmation administered by a person authorized to do so by law. Such statement is witnessed as to the authenticity of the affiant's signature by a taker of oaths, such as a notary public or commissioner of oaths. The name is Medieval Latin for he/she has declared upon oath. An affidavit is a type of verified statement or showing, or in other words, it contains a verification, meaning it is under oath or penalty of perjury, and this serves as evidence to its veracity and is required for court proceedings."

Countries like Canada, USA etc. are largely driven by the rule of law. Now, assuming that someone has actually executed an affidavit for you and this act has been countersigned and verified by a notary public or officer of law, it actually provides CIC with the power and capacity to point out the actual person who executed the affidavit, the identity of the notary public and of course the applicant, thus helping in verification. It also helps CIC hold accountable all the people involved in the chain mentioned above as opposed to for example PAN Card, Aadhar etc. which are issued by governmental bodies and at times, tracing the person who issued the document might not be possible. Another important fact to consider is that many documents themselves are made on the basis of a birth certificate or 10th/12th certificate and hence these two are preferred as evidences since they are one of the first few documents issued in a person's life.

Concluding, affidavits alone should not be relied upon to fulfill the requirements and should be well supported by other things like educational documents, passports and other options mentioned in my post above for which I have given you a link.

Hi All Forumites... May I request you to update your profile on the forum as it starts showing up (on the left hand side of your post under your name) whenever a post is made and it becomes easy to refer to in case there is a discussion going on on NOC, PER, File received dates etc (which is the case most of the times)...

I know it shall take 5 minutes of time but will immensely benefit as every time referring to spreadsheet to look up details of a particular member in case he/she needs advice may not be practical for all .....

Even Basic info like...

1. NOC
2. Visa Office
3. App received date
4. PER received date

shall be enough..

Let me give steps on how to update for ease of all..

1. Go to profile section on top right of the forum
2. Go to "Forum Profile Information" under " Modify Profile" on the Left side panel
3. Scroll down and update Visa Office, NOC Code, App Filed (mention App filed date and PER date here if received)
4. Hit "Change Profile" to save

Advice: Leave everything else blank as it un-necessarily takes up page when you post something and everyone needs to scroll down to see next post (if you are browsing via smartphone or tablets).

Yes please...... It becomes easy if the info is readily available to view before a reply is posted ...

Anyways i just hope maximum members update their profiles with the minimum information asked for...

HI Friends need help,

Special need help from @ hussain and @ prince_of_darkness

Wants to know the bank statement which we showed at the time of sending file in july , the money in it( in bank), we have to preserve it there in it or we have to show it only for a day till we get statement and then withdraw and can use ???

Bcoz i showed only 4K CAD and mu consultant told me there is no problem, rest we will show at NDVO, but i am very tensed and to send new statement, i don't have 11k CAD with me.
If i borrow for someone for 2-3 days that i can do but will it work.

Please help me...

IS IT REQUIRED TO KEEP FUND IN BANK UNTILL WE GET THE VISA
OR IS IT REQUIRED TO KEEP UNTIL I ISSUE THE BANK STATEMENT

Hi Manish

The following official CIC link:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/EG7TOC.asp#eca

-----clearly mentions that there are 3 phases that need be passed in order for us to get PR and COPR.

a. Completeness check
b. Eligibility review
c. Selection and admissibility

I can safely assume that a and b will never entail a verification check. On the other hand, selection and admissibility will definitely prompt background checks and verification. In this phase CIC assesses you against:

minimum requirements
selection factors
sufficient funds
admissibility (criminality, security, medical)

Now:

01. Selection and admissibility phase is usually the longest phase when your Ecas shows "In Process" continuously until it is changed to "Decision made". In majority of the cases, this phase takes several months.

02. We all clearly sign on the last page of form IMM0008 (07-2013) E (Generic Application Form for Canada) and give consent to CIC that we release our information to CIC for them to evaluate and verify our application. This authorizes them to contact our banks (since we have already authorised them by signing the form) at any time to verify the status of our statements or account balances.

Therefore, you need to keep the above points in mind while managing your sufficient fund requirements.

Dear Colleagues under NOC 2131,

Curiosita....aabbhhii.....jeric77.....samanir....amrkamal86.....dipesh pokhrel

I hope the days come easy and the moments pass slow
And each road leads you where you want to go
And if you're faced with the choice and you have to choose
I hope you choose the one that means the most to you
And if one door opens to another door closed

I hope you keep on walkin' til you find the window
If it's cold outside, show the world the warmth of your smile
But more than anything, more than anything

My wish for you

Is that this life becomes all that you want it to
Your dreams stay big, your worries stay small
You never need to carry more than you can hold
And while you're out there gettin' where you're gettin' to
I hope you know somebody loves you
And wants the same things too

Yeah, this is my wish

I hope you never look back but you never forget
All the ones who love you and the place you left
I hope you always forgive and you never regret
And you help somebody every chance you get
Oh, you'd find God's grace in every mistake
And always give more than you take
But more than anything, yeah more than anything

My wish for you

Is to see you all in GREEN so SOON.

MSNAIR and Roya-FSW don't give up and resend ASAP

ABSOLUTELY CORRECT. This is not paranoid but it is being extremely careful, diligent and prudent. It is your future at stake and no shame to be extra careful. Good luck and post your application ASAP!!!!! ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)
