Has anyone applied for a police certificate / criminal record check from the FBI? The FBI website says it could take up to 5/6 weeks but the CIC website says between 16 and 18 weeks! This would be a problem for us as we need to submit the certificate to vienna within 90 days. Anyone who has applied - can you remember how long it took?

Many thanks!

You should not mind advise brother
You are talking about applicant who filed in past
We are talking based on current check list
You got per may be becaz cic didn't observe it or they are fine with that but as per the cic we should submit the same.
Here we should guide people based on their official website :) :)

You can use $US account. No need to convert in $CAN. I am sure about it... :)

Better to convert everything on cad,
And your demand draft as well,
Someone got rejected cause his demand draft was not in CAD BUT IN USA.

This is worth to put effort on convertibg everything, and its simple, just ask the issuing person for it
If required help with current rate!

Hi. I totally agree and value your experience. We are just trying to help the person with the most current information that is mentioned in the current FSWP 2013 Document checklist IMM5612 (05-2013) E:

21. Mailing your application

Mail to the CIO in Sydney, Nova Scotia:

This document checklist
your complete application
supporting documents required in this checklist, and
include 2 self-addressed mailing labels:
One in english or french and
One in the official language of your country of residence

Its better to send as per current requirements lest the whole application is returned by a CIO officer just for such a small thing.

Very true same thing I have explain in my post.
Better to in line with cic requirement.

thats why i wrote its my expereince,
CIC do note everything, 2012, its not that past,
even in 2011, when my points didnt make up it was not because of not writing in Native language,
2012, my friend is also there, waiting for his PR.
A couple who r now in Canada filed in 2011 ( i knw them personally) with no native language written anywhere.
2010 and 2009 are not that past( my sisters)
I guess CIC cant overlook so many applications.
give me some more time, i have helped another applicant is filing his application for 2013, i will let u knw the result if his application is returned because of Native Language, I will surely let u knw.

Though these are my expereinces, CIC reserves the rule.

If you dig out previous document check list u will find the same thing written, its nothing new
Its not that I am forcing anyone to do what I have done, Its just my experience,
Its upto an applicant to do whats best for them.

I know, its been there. I have been trying myself since 2008. However, ALWAYS better to follow official requirements as much as one can. If application goes unnoticed and is passed, its to our benefit :)

Hi everyone!!!

Can anyone assist me with the issue I had posted yesterday?

That I have applied under NOC 1112 and my application was received by CIC on 3rd July. I haven't received any intimation from CIC yet. Has anyone received application no. yet under his category?

Please assist me!!!!

@preet,

chill kar... as I understand 'Application no.' is allotted to those who are successful applicants: PER !

CIC updated Cap reached for 1112 & 2174 on 21 Aug, so they won't be processing any more application for these NOC. The last processed - PER issued / received by forum member is on 16 Aug (NOC 1112) and 20 Aug (NOC 2174), so game is over for these NOC's. This is how the FSW program 2013 is by design. Unfortunately, those remaining would be returned apps (Cap reached/ rejected/ Ner as the case may be) which will be the conclusive evidence... so focus on Plan A, if not then Plan B :)
