Yes PAN card is just for Income Tax Assesses and is not National Identity Card, however the same can be used as your identity, Further Pan card does not contain the address of the user.

however Adhar Card is for every Indian and it is a National Identity Card.
In India if you buy a new vehicle, the same will be registered only if you have adhar card
So as per my opinion it is national Identity card and we have to fill it in the form

BUT there is one problem, the Adhar card has no expiry date then what will be done in coloum Expiry Date

I am also aware that there is PAN card which is widely used by Indians as proof of identity and is used to get sim cards, telephone connections etc. But I think PAN is issue by the Tax authorities in India and so should be actually a tax document or registration card but has widely become acceptable as an ID card as well. Seniors please advise

dial - 0016139444000
select 1 for English
then 1 for foreign affair
2 for immigration
call is being transferred to cic
then 1 for English
2 for status
1 for PR
8 digit client id number will be asked
listen the request 3 times without entering client id number
then the call is automatically transferred to an agent
agent will ask information about last name, first name, date of birth, application received date, email id etc
then agent will check in the system and shall give feedback

Hi Question for INDIAN USERS

Recently we have made ADHAR Card (Unique ID Card)

Should we have to mention the number of Adhar Card in Generic Application Form under head National Identity Document

Indians don't have any National identity card yet. Simply tick No in response to the question. Aadhar card is not a National identity card.
