Its kinda interesting to see how CIC works, Lets say there were 300 application filled up the cap of 2174 and 1112. They will be transferred to local VO. Now, if any of the selected applicant gets rejected at that stage, there will be reduce in the official count. So there is a chance of delay in releasing the PER until confirmed count is achieved.
Again, its internal for them but the stats releases every quarter will reveal the truth. So its a catch 22 situation. Total no. of applications they accepted by CIC vs final PR count. Who will care? - applicants whose file reached on 31st May or 1st of June.
This theory may be wrong but there may be some buffer appplications which they may process just in case.
Also, i heard from previous FSW applicants that they retained valid applicants even after the cap is reached who were saved, considered in the next season.

Just a reminder to all. The sub-cap of 300 refers to applications that CIC will put into "process". In other words, they will issue 300 PERs. However, there may be some apps that get rejected at the VO level. Hence, there may NOT be 300 PRs issued per NOC. In a perfect world, CIC ought to go back and put additional apps into process. However, it is very hard to implement given processing at VO level takes over a year.

PR = Permanent Residence

Just checked my email and saw this:

"Based on a review of the information you have provided, your application has received a positive determination of eligibility to be processed on the basis of work experience in an occupation specified in the Instructions issued by the Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism and published in the Canada Gazette on May 4, 2013. However a final decision on your eligibility to be selected as a federal skilled worker will be made by a visa office."

Hi guys

My fee was encashed on 15 aug but i did not receive any email which called PER so far. So i called cic office today and got my UCI. I checked my status of application online which shows "in process" and when i clicked on in process it shows" we received your application for permanent residence on june 3,2013".

Is this PER status if yes then its mean i miss my PER email or they did not send it yet.

GUYS NEED YOUR HELP...

JUST CALLED UP CIC AND THE DATE OF ENTRY OF MY FILE IS 15/08 in there system and I AM A 31st MAY applicant. They cant see anything apart from the email ID ... They have no further record and the guy confirmed the application was not returned....


IS there a HOPE or is it OVER..

CIC Update on 21/08 - 300 CAP FULL.
