No one can actually tell you if you are going to make it within the cap, however it is likely that you might. And I think it is worth the try.

Its been almost 2 weeks that i got UCI but still no update from CIC and ECAS.

Really tough days for 1112 and 2174 applicants of May last week.

After that call nothing happened. Still waiting to hear from CIC about PER and no update on IVR also.

Its kinda interesting to see how CIC works, Lets say there were 300 application filled up the cap of 2174 and 1112. They will be transferred to local VO. Now, if any of the selected applicant gets rejected at that stage, there will be reduce in the official count. So there is a chance of delay in releasing the PER until confirmed count is achieved.
Again, its internal for them but the stats releases every quarter will reveal the truth. So its a catch 22 situation. Total no. of applications they accepted by CIC vs final PR count. Who will care? - applicants whose file reached on 31st May or 1st of June.
This theory may be wrong but there may be some buffer appplications which they may process just in case.
Also, i heard from previous FSW applicants that they retained valid applicants even after the cap is reached who were saved, considered in the next season.

Oh they have a database??? Man, all this years I was living thinking all wrong things about the country and its good fellow administrators and politicians and policemen and govt offices...sorry did not know that the officials do their job duties by themselves, without any expectation from the public - true ramrajya.

The municipalities in many cities do keep Date of Birth and Date of death databases and people can go and ask for duplicate certs in case they lose originals. or they need for any official purpose.If I were you I would try to contact the municipal office of the city I was born.

Why don't you pay him 6000 Euros and go in 3 months? Or is he distributing visa with tickets on the spot for people paying 12000 Euros? Navdeep, this is writing on the wall for you.. check the stats and cross check with what he is saying to rope you in...

Dear friends please ensure and cross check before availing the services from consultants. be careful .. we are aware of the process, and nobody can promise visa.

Hi ddd1. Lets hope your words come true and we receive our PER today. Really refreshing inbox every minute to check that coveted mail. My NOC is 2263, App received at CIC 6 June 2013, CC Charged on 20 August 2013 and got my UCI yesterday over the phone. The IVR on the phone says that my application was received by CIC on 6 June 2013.........
