Hello Maina. Thanks for your reply. I just called the number for calling from outside Canada mentioned in the wordpress blog. The number +1 613 9 444 000 actually belongs to Foreign Affairs, Trade & Development Canada, which then provides an option via IVR to re-direct to CIC. The options that I dialed after dialing the above mentioned number were: 1+2+1+2+1 (There is an average wait time of about 12 minutes). I spoke to a staff called Natasha and on giving her my Surname, First Name, DOB and Place of Birth, she was able to find my application and gave me my 8 digit UCI and my total call duration was 19 minutes : 38 seconds.

I have tried to enter my UCI on ECAS but is could not find any information related to me even though my CC has been charged on 20 August 2013. Please provide your feedback.

can anyone please share the format of rejection letter. Is CIC mentioned specific reason in rejection letter or rejection letter is general in format ??? The consultant company handed over the rejection letter to my friend but it is very general in format. I doubt, consulting firm handed over incomplete or self made rejection letter.

im 7th august applicant under NOC 2132 - Mechanical engineer..

and now it is running very fast towards 300 !!! am i gonna make it in 300 or not !!!!!

You just need to tell the agent that you have applied for the FSWP 2013 and that its been some time since you heard from CIC and would like to know something or the status of your application. Thats it. Give them your surname, first name, DOB and country of birth and if there is a UCI in the system they will give you.

Though there is no harm in calling CIC now as the agent did not ask me how many weeks or time had passed since I had sent in my application. However, best practice and the general forum experience indicates that an average wait time of about 8-10 weeks (since the application was received at CIC) is suggested before making any inquiries.

well..i just tried calling the CIC no. popular here to get my UCI...on the second attempt..the guy agreed to look for it and after asking me my details he tried looking for it but said couldn't find and suggested me to e-mail them for verification....does thar mean my file has been rejected coz i am 24th may applicant under 2132 noc....any ideas?

mine was the 23rd may application but was returned on 26th july. you application should have been processes few weeks ago. I would email CIC and keep my fingers crossed.
